Not busy with great atmosphere. Not their fault as they are short staffed (just like everyplace else) service was a little slow; however, it did not bother us as we were not in a hurry. Soft, 80's best hits playing in the back ground. Waitress was pleasant even though she is obviously overworked. Food was delicious and beer was ice cold. If you are looking for a laid back meal and aren't in a hurry, I would definitely recommend. If you are in a hurry try someplace else. My wife's and I will be back.
The food was SURPRISINGLY good. I say it that way because when you walk in it just seems like your normal sports bar/grill but less corporate. The presentation and the taste of all of the food was off the charts. The sweet tea was diabetes level good too. You can tell they take pride in what they make here. The servers are all very friendly and honest. 4 starts only because the furniture/decor/lighting needs a bit of a upgrade other then that I would absolutely recommend if you are in town.
Average food at best. Nothing exceptional. Husband/son ordered the lobster special but had to pay extra for sides(could’ve gotten the meal anywhere for that price after you pay for sides). I ordered haddock that was ok. The best thing we ate was the bruschetta pizza, it was great.
Not what I expected based off the huge billboard. I thought it would’ve been more lively. Onion rings were good. Steak quesadilla was really greasy. Chicken tenders were very good and freshly battered. Service isn’t anything to brag about. Motionless. Waitress didn’t know a lot of things. The $8 drinks are tiny, 4 or 5 ounces. Gone in 3 sips. However the Florida Orange was pretty good. If it was bigger, I would’ve ordered more.
Spaghetti toes!!!!!!!!! I want to give negative stars actually! I have never left a restaurant so upset before. While sitting at a table the two servers slung spaghetti off of the booth across from us and literally threw spaghetti all over me and my daughter while she was holding her baby. The server said atleast it was just sauce. No one cared!! I cleaned us up. Also had to go get lots of napkins to go under the table. I asked if we could be moved and it was a problem. Mind you they were not that busy. Lots of empty tables. I have been here before and actually I was in a commercial for them 6 years ago. I told the server that my daughters shoes were stained and she said I will tell the manager. About 15 to 20 mins later the bartender which I guess was the manager came over and said the owner said wash the shoes it’s just marinara and send him the cleaning bill and walked away. Not even a sorry. When I tell you I have never been so upset about being treated like no one could care. So we had food all over us and stained shoes and then dismissed. The people sitting by us was saying how if it were them they would be fighting. Very disappointed!!
We arrived here after our 2 hour trip to St. Augustine with my party of 9 family members to celebrate my 60th Birthday. We really enjoyed the friendly atmosphere and fast food service. They offer all types of American/ Seafood dishes and great cocktails and beer selection. Prices were very reasonable and we enjoyed our service. We will return here as our rental house was just one block north of Redfrog & McToad's. They do offer children's menu, clean restroom and cold AC. Restaurant was clean and just a few locals during our 2 pm visit.
We had a very friendly host and waiter named Ian who gave terrific service! The food was hot, super delicious and quick, especially for how busy it was as it's spring break time. Not to be missed! The N.E. and Minorcan clam chowder were incredible! Plus, it's called Redfrog and McToads, why wouldn't you go? ?
Because my wife can't be vaccinated for Covid due to a medical issue, we have to order via take out with me picking it up. the last 3 times I've called, no one has answered the phone and it cuts off, which makes me have to drive to the restaurant and wait. Tonight, I had the same phone issues and got down there at 8:40PM. The website said they close at 9 on Saturdays, but was informed that the kitchen closed at 8:30. I will never go to this place again.
We chose this place for a late breakfast and weren't disappointed. I had a Philly cheese steak omelet and very good. Comes with hash browns and toast. Great dish. My wife and friend got the 2,2,2. 2 eggs, 2 pancakes and 2 sausage or bacon. The pancakes are large. Both meals were very good. Good value for your money. Pricing reasonable. Service good but they were shorthanded. Worth stopping for.
My family of 4 (2 adults, a 10 yo, and a 6 yo) ate here for dinner on 4/6 during our Spring Break vacation in the Saint Augustine area. The food was good, and the service was decent. The only reason I gave four stars is the price. While I understand that this is a vacation town, being just shy of $70 for a cheeseburger w/ fries, a quesadilla, a kid’s cheeseburger, a kid’s cheese pizza, four sodas, and a 20% tip seems a bit excessive when compared to other restaurants in the area that we dined at during our trip. Again, no problems with food or service, both were a pleasant experience.
