Good quality food, but portions are very small for the high price. Service is great.
Seated promptly, delicious food, excellent service.
Cozy venue. Bright sunny windows. Excellent service. Not what we expected for a Fancy Sunday Brunch. Comfort foods nothing fancy. Probably a great neighborhood hangout.
We enjoyed our dining experience at Raintree very much. They food was excellent and drinks were cold. Our server was extraordinary.
Another excellent dinner. We go here when we are seeing a play at Limelight, and are never disappointed. Probably the most consistently good restaurant in the area.
What a wonderful respite in a quiet section of St. Augustine. This restaurant feels more like grandma's old Victorian home that she's opened up for those seeking a good meal with great ambience. Because the catch of the day was unexciting (is halibut just code for 'don't order me?'), I went down the path of steamed mussels and upgraded to an entree by adding angel hair pasta ... and it was just alright. Nothing really to write home about and I couldn't believe the upgrade (just adding a small handful of past) was a $10 premium. My wife ordered the lobster tail, which she enjoyed (but then, she's never met one she didn't enjoy eating!) and our daughters ordered the fettuccine Alfredo with chicken and that was pretty great. Each entree comes with a soup or salad and while the different dressings were great, the size of the salad was quite petite. Our server for the evening, for the most part was pretty excellent and had a great personality, but towards the end of the night, he couldn't be found to offer us dessert (on our 25th wedding anniversary, mind you). Overall, while the places oozes in charm, I found the staff to be nonchalant and not terribly personal and / or inviting, unlike other restaurants that go out of their way to both welcome you and check-in throughout the evening to see to it that you are enjoying everything. All in all, not a bad place to try out, but given that there are so many other options available in St. Augustine, we'll certainly be checking out other places before returning to Raintree.
Anniversary
My husband, father-in-law, and I had an early dinner outdoors at Raintree. Although it was hot outside, the shade and breezes made the outdoor environment pleasant. Mike provided expert service throughout. We even got to meet his daughter, Heather, who was assisting waiters that evening. We selected 2 half bottles of wine to accompany our meals. It was nice to see a wine list that offered 375 ml bottles. All 3 of us thought the parmesan peppercorn dressing on the pre-entree salads was excellent and we all thoroughly enjoyed our entrees which were delivered piping hot (tilapia, eggplant parmesan, and Capellini Pomodoro with sausage and meatball). Prices are reasonable considering the excellent quality and quantity of food served. Highly recommended.
On premises parking (which is awesome if you're in St. Augy) Amazing outdoor seating area, clean and very quaint. Service was fast but not where it felt like they were pushing you out. The server was on his game and our drinks were never empty, but he wasn't overbearing and he didn't just stand over us. He had many tables and seemed to jungle them all well. Food came out in a timely manner and was delicious. Definitely will be going back.
This was another great experience at Raintree. Food, service and ambiance. Highly recommend this restaurant.
