Mojo Old City BBQ serves up some pretty good BBQ food. The ribs and chicken were very good, brisket was just a little on the dry side but flavors were very good. Sides were tasty as well. Excellent portion sizes and priced well.
Rustic. The aroma of smoking brisket...and pulled pork. Full bar...lots of "on tap" beer choices. Pulled pork. Chicken. Do experience the brisket Reubens..."unexpected"...a different flavor from corned beef...and excellent! Be sure and allow yourself the onion rings appetizer!
Visited here with my family, 5 adults and 1 toddler. Service was brilliant and menu had plenty to choose from. All good prepared fresh and the fries very tasty. It’s the best meal I’ve had since been over here and I’ve eaten out every day for every meal over the last 10 days. Anyone visiting this area who likes BBQ / Pit fire food then I would highly suggest visiting here. It’s only the same liner, but much better as Bodeans / Smoke BBQ etc.
The Nachos were SO yummy! Fresh tasting tomatoes & jalapeños were a bonus added to this bbq chicken nachos. We ordered the Kansas City Burnt Ends as well and were delicious. Dave was our attentive & easy to talk to waiter, we hope his wife will take our advice ;) Enjoyed every minute of this meal and conversation. Must eat here!
Delicious!! We stopped in for lunch. Hostess and waiter were friendly. Food came out quickly and as ordered. Happy we chose to eat here.
Had dinner there - If more than one person, I recommend having the 2 item combo and sharing. My wife and I did that and sampled the pulled port, Carolina pulled pork, brisket and turkey. The Carolina pulled pork and turkey were my favorite and the regular pulled pork and turkey were my wife's favorite. The sauces were good and they have a wide enough variety that they should satisfy everyone.
This place is a 'must' is you like BBQ. Burnt Tips, ribs, collard greens and a few beers while you wait for 'take out'...actually one beer was enough but they have a good selection.
Four of us had lunch here while doing the "Old City" thing, and we were all glad that we did. The brisket burnt ends were awesome and could go toe-to-toe with some of Texas' better brisket spots. My wife really enjoyed her smoked chicken nachos and the banana pudding was also really good. Our server Megan did her part to assure that we had a great experience. All-in-all, a great experience!
This place is centrally located in St. Augustine; the smell of the food is alluring when you're walking by; it was definitely worth a try. However, while the food was tasty (not incredible), the service was close to awful; our server apparently wasn't into taking care of customers. The place was empty and she just took forever for everything, completely impolite and seemed to be annoyed by the simplest request. It took her about 25 minutes to even take our order. Thankfully the food was prepared quickly but the experience could have been much better had we had a better waitress with a friendlier attitude.
Food was great! Service was great! Definitely try the buttermilk fried chicken and mashed sweet potato! I was so impressed with it! My husband loved the sliced brisket and baked beans. Also, the huckleberry mojito is ??Chef’s kiss! Our server (did not get his name but was working behind the bar) was very friendly! Overall great experience here!
