Straightforward Mexican fare, nothing to complain about, though nothing stood-out for five stars from me (e.g. I prefer the modern decor in other local favorites of mine). We went around 6:30 on a Tuesday and the place was busy so we had a wait. But by the time we left, the place had emptied out - so perfect for those who dine later or fancy an evening beer!

Excellent service and generous, scrumptious fare all the time.No disappointments here. They moved from Southside in Jax to this location and the standard of service is still amazing.Congratulations to the staff. If you love Mexican fare, get here soon. All the best!

I love this place, from the delicious margaritas that are both a great deal moneywise and a great balance of alcohol content to my favorite tacos. Do yourself a favor, order them Mexican style, grilled chicken or the a la Diablo if you like them spicy. The tortillas I swear are homemade although they say they aren’t, they’re that good. And if you try it and like it, it’ll be that good every time. I love a restaurant that has excellent consistency. Great service, we love Manuela but everyone is good. Can’t say enough positives. You will get an incredible deal for your money.

Went to Los Portales a week or so ago and must say I was disappointed with the food. Our server was very pleasant and made sure we had what we ordered. I ordered a beef fajita. The meat was very tough and over cooked. Cantana Louis is superior to Portales

Went to this place since it was close by our house. We just moved here and wanted to try the close by restaurants. The place is decent. Went there when it wasn't busy at all. Everything seemed clean. Staff was pretty mellow and hands off which is fine. The food was... Mediocre. We are from the southwest, so our Mexican food experiences range from New Mexican, Cali-Mex and Tex-Mex. This was bland. No real heat anywhere, and I'm a baby sometimes when it comes to spice. I got the Chile relleno, taco and chicken quesadilla. I'm used to my Chile relleno being battered and fried. This one was likely baked and stuff with ground beef. No flavor. Only got a tiny heat from the seeds. It was also extremely greasy. I had to eat the taco immediately since the shell was breaking down due to greasiness.Overall we probably won't be back any time soon.

Very fresh vegetables served with the Mexican food. Service was awesome!

Delicious absolutely going here again i love their food i like this restraunt and its very pog and mix the rice and beans (its good) give it a 4 out of 5 epiks could be better attest not dierrea toco bell

Chile relleno with chorizo. My wife got the fajitas. The salsa was fresh and spicy. Everything was delicious we will be back

Service was slow. We ordered fish tacos and shrimp tacos.. The fish tacos were extremely salty, almost to the point where you could not eat them. The shrimp tacos were salty as will but not as bad. We also order rice which was cold and extremely bland. The only part of dinner that was good was the margaritas, chips and salsa. Will not be going back.

Quaint little restaurant with excellent food, i ordered take out with margaritas and thoroughly enjoyed it.
