This at the St. Augustine Longhorn.. Seating the day before Mother's Day was impossible. They would not allow a large party to sit until all members arrived. We waited roughly for 30/40 mins and then headed over to Outback, which took us right in. Much better food selection. If you want steak in st. Augustine just head right over to Outback for superior service.
Longhorn Steakhouse was wonderful. We were seated immediately and were waited on within 2 minutes! Our food was perfectly prepared and delicious. The wait staff was very professional and took care of us in a timely manner. Great dining experience and we will definitely be returning!
Firstly, I want to say that I was a bartender for over 40 years, my friend & I sat @ the bar to have dinner. ANGEL was the only bartender, although some of her coworkers were helping her out a bit, the bar itself was not crazy, but all the tables in there were full, & the rest of the restaurant was on a wait. I mentioned to her was an excellent job she was doing. In comes thins guy & a woman who sat next to me. He asks to taste one of the pinots they offered, which she brought him, then asks to taste another, at this point he turns to me & said "I'm a Pinot snob", REALLY DUDE, you're @ a Longhorn Steakhouse !!! Finally ordering a carafe which he & his lady friend split, by the way He then proceeds to basically drill poor Angel, as to why one steaks' discription was delicious, & one was not, she very politly replied that she did not make the menu (duh) wanting to know the difference between sizes, bone-in, etc. At this point, I'm biting my tongue, but when a gentleman (I assume, a manager), came beging the bar & this jerk proceeds to get HIM to take his order, hinting that Angel was not taking care of him to his standards...that was it !! I told the manager & the guest that she had been nothing less than professional, overly attentive, & that was he who was being difficult, of course my very quiet friend, at this point is patting my arm, trying to calm me down. All of a sudden, the jerk doesn't like the "vibe", of course finishes the wine, & leaves without paying. He created the "vibe" Any of us in the industry have seen this type, especially at the chain restaurants, people complain about anything, because generally the meal gets taken care of, 'corporate' hates any negative reviews. A gentleman sitting on the opposite side of the bar, witnessed the whole thing & came over to me after the jerk left, having been a bartender himself back in the day, said he read him coming in I know this is a bit long winded, but I wanted to say cudos to the manager for backing his staff, & not giving in to the idiot, ANGEL YOU ROCK !!!!
Living in St. Augustine, we try to mainly eat at local, non-chain restaurants but when I want a good steak, Longhorn always satisfies. Not only is the food amazing but the service is exceptional. They have a very attentive and friendly staff. Never a disappointment.
Perfectly cooked steaks. Great service. Salad was great. Sweet potato was excellent.Angel was our server, she did a great job even though she was very busy.
My daughter's and I went to have dinner together for Valentine's. We didn't wait that long even though it was packed. Our waitress was great and the Manager was great. They were very friendly. My ribeye steak and my loaded baked potato was great, but my broccoli was not how I wanted. Overall, I recommend this place. We love it here❣️ Oh don't forget the mango margarita?
Whole department enjoyed lunch here to celebrate a coworkers birthday. This was her choice and we were all impressed with the friendly, attentive service and delicious, made-to-order apps and sandwiches. Great selection, affordable prices and zero wait! Give them a try instead of fast food, you will be happy you did.
Used to have the best Flo filet steaks. Last visit the steak was about 1/2 inch think. Definitely not a filet. I will not return. Salad and loaded baked potato were good. Therefore a 2 star.
We went twice in the course of a week since we were on vacation. Even during Christmas Eve they worked very hard to make sure everyone was seated in a timely manner and had their food as fresh as possible. Their Flo Filet was very juicy (we ordered it medium) and their macaroni is to die for, it is so tasty!Would definitely recommend this place whenever possible, the staff was amazing. Give them the patience and they'll give you amazing service/food in return.
Outstanding service by Dee Dee. We gave her a complicated order but she got it right. Food came out hot and quick. The server was very attentive to the table needs.
