Unexpected delight! Great service; delicious food; huge portions (aka leftovers); variety of dishes. We arrived early which was a blessing as the incoming stream of customers quickly overwhelmed the amount of staff available. Hopefully, that is getting resolved, because it is worth even a reasonable wait.
Hadn't been to LaStrada for several years. Visited tonight. We experienced the same outstanding service, food and comfortable ambiance that we had previously known. The freshly made breads, salads, soups, entrees and desserts are fabulous. Already planning our next visit very soon. May I suggest the impeccable Chicken Marsala!
The best Italian meal we can remember ever eating! Located in a strip mall but don’t let that deter you. Away from the crowds, quaint, cozy, friendly, and literally every bite was over the top fantastic! Happily and highly recommend if you’re looking for authentic Italian food.
This was an awesome place to eat! Food is awesome. Staff was very friendly! We would highly recommend it. Somebody recommended it to us. And we’re so glad they did. We probably would not have chosen it since it’s in a little shopping center. Garlic bread is awesome. We had sea bass- so delicious !! A bit pricy- But most places are anymore- Great selection on wine…. Check them out!!
Stopped here while visiting the area with my family. After seeing the restaurant we thought about not stopping, but decided you can’t judge a book by its cover. It’s a small place in a strip mall . I am from NY, so I know good Italian food. Unfortunately this was just average and expensive. Food had lots of sauce with very little taste. It was okay, but we all expected more. Service was average, waiter seemed stressed and wasn’t very friendly. There was a women who delivered the salads who was much happier. Overall we wouldn’t go back, there are so many better places in the area with much better food.
Seriously the best Italian food we've e had in a while! We visited St. Augustine for 4 days and were having a hard time finding decent restaurants to eat. We finally found La Strada on our last night and it made it all worth it! The service was great, there were two really nice women who served and chatted with us. The food was beyond amazing, honestly we could've eaten there every day on our vacation. This is truly a gem of a restaurant. Thank you for the great experience!!
I had the Chicken Parm which was absolutely delicious. The service was outstanding. Very nice atmosphere. Would highly recommend.
Me and my husband had dinner and the service by Allison was awesome! She was very pleasant and entertaining and made us feel most welcome :-) My husband had the chicken parmesan which was pretty good and I had the spaghetti and meatballs. The spaghetti part was delicious and the sauce was real good but the meatballs were more bread than hamburger :-( But the ambiance of the restaurant and the service was excellent
OH My! I was quite surprised when I walked in - wasn’t expecting such authentic Italian! The garlic bread was so delicious and the Shrimp Scampi, Wow! I Highly Recommend, it will not Disappoint!
We wanted a break from seafood so headed up A1A to this out of the way place for some Italian. Don't get me wrong, the food was good and the people working there were doing I'm sure the best they could but their game was off the evening we were there. It is a small place so on weekends and special events it would be wise to call ahead for reservations or you'll be waiting. The first thing we recognized was the two folks working as wait staff were flying around the retaurant. Staff shortage I am sure. It took awhile to get our salads and that was the tip off that they were probably short staffed in the kitchen. I has spaghetti with Italian sausage and my wife had chicken parmesean. The server forgot about our garlic bread and my wife's pasta side until we were just about done with the main course. The staff was also battling a huge number of "to go" orders as well. I think that had the chef stressed out because we heard loud voices eminating from the kitchen a couple times. They had a great choice of Italian wines in many variaties. Hope they can get some help because it is a nice little place.
