I ordered a birthday cake for my husband, and it was fantastic. I emailed them while they were closed thinking I wouldn't get a response, and they replied right away. On the day of pick up, there was a big rainstorm, and we were no longer coming to St. Augustine that day and were planning on coming a few days later. I called to see if they could freeze it for me until I could come, and they did one better. They asked me what day I was coming and made me a new cake instead!!! It was delicious and beautiful. So perfect. Love this place so much.When I went to pick up the cake, they had almond croissants. I got a few, and my husband said they were better than the ones he used to get in New Orleans. NOTHING is better than something from New Orleans to him. Thank you so much, Creme de la Cocoa!
One thing we knew when we started booking vendors was that we absolutely had to book Creme de La Cocoa for our wedding cake/desserts. I was very familiar with their product and I knew my husband and mother in law would be sold on this choice. We did our cake tasting and Nils worked with us so well to help us pick out our desserts/wedding cake flavor. It was super unique and we loved that. We did a small two tier cake with a vanilla raspberry amaretto flavor on the bottom and a lemon elderflower flavor on the top as well as a standard sheet cake and a bunch of cake cups and cookies. We did 200 each of the cake cups and cookies with gluten free options and they went quick! Not only is their product amazing but they were so flexible and helpful. We were originally a March 2020 wedding but had to postpone multiple times and they were there every step of the way. Bailey and Brooke kept in contact with me and checked in to make sure everything was still exactly how we wanted it. They are truly artists in their craft, they will not disappoint. Whether you want a simple two tiered cake, something rustic or something extravagant they have the skills to execute that for your celebration. Thank you to Nils, Bailey, Brooke, and the whole team for making our desserts a huge hit at our dream wedding. It was everything we could've ever asked for.
Nils and his wedding team are awesome! From the day I booked them for my wedding, I was throwing ideas at them for desserts that were out of the box and new concepts for them, but they made every idea I had into a real dessert. Of all the things people loved about our wedding day, the desserts were the most raved about. In fact, the desserts station line formed immediately after dinner and never slowed down until all the desserts were gone. Everyone at Crème De La Cocoa was so accommodating and we’re beyond happy we chose them for our wedding day. We can’t wait until our one-year anniversary so we can get to taste our wedding all over again!
Called on a Thursday to order a carrot cake for Saturday but they were no longer taking orders. I was told they would have a variety of cakes available on the shelves on Saturday if I just come by, so that's what I did. Saturday morning, less than an hour after opening, they had two cakes on the shelf. I got the Chocolate Chocolate cake. I love chocolate cake. Unfortunately, this cake is mostly frosting, very little cake. In fact, there appears to be more frosting than cake. It looked fantastic on the outside, I just wish it had more cake. Taste was ok, very rich. The cake was $45. Probably won't purchase from here again.
Creme de la Cocoa did our wedding cake this past weekend. It was such a pleasure to work with Brooke and Bailey to get our cake just right! The bakers did an amazing job and our guests absolutely LOVED the cake. Creme de la Cocoa delivered our cake to our venue the day-of and allowed us to rent one of their cake stands, which was SO nice that we didn't have to think of that. We got the Florida Native cake, and it did not disappoint!
Crème de la Cocoa was such a lovely experience. They have so many different desserts to choose from, you can’t just choose one!! Everything we got was so yummie!! Beautiful to look at, beautiful to eat!!!!!!! This place is a MUST if u are a lover of desserts!!
I mean...need I say more? This cake was simply stunning! Even before I saw the cake on my wedding day staff from the venue were coming up to me and telling me how amazing it looked. Not only did it look amazing, but it tasted even better! I had guests asking me for leftovers of the cake the next day! I can't recommend them enough for your wedding cake! Everything about my experience with them was flawless. From the amazing customer service from Bailey, to the chef consultation, even with delivery everything was top notch!
Lucked up and found this place on our short trip into St. Augestine. The staff was very friendly and super helpful....we got a large variety of treats and were not disappointed with anything. My favorite was the FL Native dessert shot. It's a MUST Try!
We got married on 2.9.22 at the Treasury on the Plaza and we had the team at Creme de la Cocoa make our wedding desserts. From the moment we had our cake tasting with Nils at the bakery, we knew that we would be in good hands. Our cake was absolutely stunning with sugar flowers cascading down the sides of the cake. They even made our 2 dogs and cat from sugar to put on the cake! Our cake flavors were their Florida Native for one tier, and then they created an amazing amaretto crunch cake for our second tier! The team also surprised my husband with his very own Florida Native grooms cake which he absolutely loved! We also had little cups of their Southern Belle pecan pie, as well as an AMAZING churro cheesecake. They also made little peanut butter and jelly cookie sandwiches and bourbon balls made with St. Augustine distillery bourbon for our guests to enjoy. No detail went unnoticed and people are still talking about our desserts almost a month later! It is now a MUST to visit the Creme de la Cocoa bakery whenever we are in town! Thank you again to Bailey, Nils, and the entire Creme de la Cocoa team for making our wedding desserts so amazing!
