The staff members were friendly & helpful but hard to make up for for the lack of upgrades & other amenities at this property. The room was very ordinary with no particular redeeming features. The off site all adult private club (Sernata) was under staffed & did not offer any poolside service (unacceptable). Not a bad venue, as it was overpriced for what you get.

As a titanium member, this hotel came far from the statuary of a resort and spa! Rooms dated, service was horrible, restaurant appeared to be closed due to lack of guests, breakfast items that included eggs did not even have a piece of bread, resort fee was a joke as their were no resort services. Should have listened to a friend and stayed in a B&B!

Excellent Experience Easy check in Staff friendly and knowledgeable Great location very close to most attractions Incredible Ambience loved all decor and room design as well as hotel decor. Very top notch.Nice roomy bathroom. Affordable with great value Fun outdoor pool and patio with awesome service.

Nice Hotel but the service was just not there on many levels. From our check in delay after 4:00. Room Service ordered and never delivered. Food quality at restaurant poor and slow. You could only call front desk for all services. No one would answer the phones elsewhere. Just overall poor service for such an expensive hotel.

This hotel is beautiful for its history, we did not have a “smelly” room as others but did not get a premium room that was booked and paid for. It is in the perfect location for exploring St Augustine, the staff was friendly and accommodating enough. But over all NOT WORTH IT. I had MULTIPLE billing issues. They addressed and credited the over billing of parking ($37), after proof. But then they would not address the extensive charge for Friday night. I had originally booked 3 nights. Shortly after check in, our party decided to go to a different city for the 3rd night, IF Casa Monica would refund the 3rd night. The attendant agreed to cancel the 3rd night (Saturday Night) with NO penalty, according to the attendant. But upon checkout, they had charged $266.00 for Thursday night (+ $60 in fees and tax!) and $403.00 (+$80 in taxes and fees!) and ONLY $288.00 in credit for SATURDAY NIGHT. They referenced Friday night being a weekend and thus the increased charge, but stumbled for words when I ask why Saturday night was significantly less and a weekend night too. It was a manager I spoke with and they answered with circle talk. I went on my way. Then upon my return home my credit card ALERTED ME TO A FRAUD CHARGE OF $325 from Casa Monica! And the manager preached Christian values, as an added lying distraction. BUYER BEWARE!

The hotel is beautiful for the age. It is now going through some renovations. Greated at front desk by Tina who went above and beyond the entire trip. Parking staff was excellent and fast. The room was a very nice size, howeve in need of some renovations, bed, shower etc. We still would highly recommend for our next visit.

Very centrally located in the beautiful St. Augustine, this hotel is a great place to stay ... as long as you like the traditional, often overloaded design of a classic American hotel. Despite, a lot of charm, good service, conveniently located to explore town, all services available, a lively bar until at least 11:00 pm, ... good bones. A really nice extra is the access to a beach club about 15 minutes North of the hotel. Great location, nice beach, good food and service. An extra without the extra cost.

Hotel was absolutely beautiful, conveniently located and had excellent service. We were traveling with my mom, who's in a wheel chair and there were very few issues with accessibility. A huge plus and major relief for anyone who knows the struggle of traveling with a wheelchair! There unfortunately was a leak in our room while we were away, staff went above and beyond to pack up our room and relocated us to another. Bar and restaurant had great service and drinks, valet was an added bonus. My mom took advantage of the hotel spa, manicure, pedicure and full massage, staff was able to help assist with her limited mobility and she was impressed with the service.. something that is hard to do as she has been a salon owner and hairdresser for 40+ years! We did however end up spending more then anticipated as all the original artwork throughout the hotel is for sale as well as in the gallery. Overall had an amazing time and would do it again!

From the moment we arrived, until the time we left, we had great encounters with every team member. Everyone had a smile, a greeting, a "what can I do to help" attitude. The ambiance on the outside, in the common areas, and in the rooms make you feel St Augustine. The Hotel is within walking distance of almost everything to see in this great city. Food was good too! I asked to personally see the manager so that I could convey our fantastic experience. We will stay again and again. Thank you, Casa Monica!

There was so much about Casa Monica that I liked: the front desk staff, the lounge bartender, the amenities. There was also the fact that our room was not the cleanest - vent caked in dirt, small pieces of paper in the sitting area, stains on the couch and carpet. Our sink plunger in the bathroom was not attached and as a result water would not drain. Though it was fixed after a call to the front desk. The bottom line is that Casa Monica is an old hotel loaded with charm but it's seen better days.
