Delicious pizza at a great price! My family was in St. Augustine on vacation and tried this place based on a recommendation from some friends. Seemed like a place locals go for amazing pizza. Limited seating but no wait when we went. We all got pizza by the slice so we could try several variations. Everything was great! Highly recommended!!
Ok my wife is a self proclaimed Stromboli expert and she seriously keeps talking about Carmelo's version. It's her #1 or really close. The Margherita pizza was good and would have been perfect if we ate at the restaurant rather than pick up. Just go! No regrets other than you should have gone sooner.
Bad beginning. When we went to place a to go order, the person at the register was not in a good mood and was not very nice. We waited and waited and finally after 30 minutes, asked where our order was. We were told that they had burnt it the first time and had to recook it and never told us. When we finally got our order, it didn't have all the ingredients on it and it tasted terrible. We were highly recommended to this place. I got a $15 sandwich that was worth $2. Just terrible!
After a long walk went with my family and the service was awesome ! We ordered supreme pizza and it was delicious.
Staff was very friendly. Small but nice beer selection. Baked ziti and Ortolana Pizza were very good.
Excellent service and great pizza
Friendly staff, prompt service, great food, and large portion sizes. Food was brought out immediately instead of all together (only a minute or two apart) so that it was completely fresh and hot. I don’t usually leave reviews of places but really enjoyed this pizza shop! My dad had the lasagna instead of pizza and he said it was just a good.
Decided on pizza after a full day at the beach (we were hungry) We thought we'd give them a try as we have never ate there before. Arrived around 4pm (so after lunch crowd and before dinner, they weren't busy), ordered a simple pizza & some garlic knots. The knots came out within 5 min of ordering them. I wasn't too impressed though. They seemed old, like they were cooked that morning and reheated. On top of that, they didn't have much garlic flavor at all, and the marinara sauce was really lacking robust Italian flavor (hardly any spices) We waited and waited, totalling 40+ min for our pizza to come out. Once we got it, it was definitely a decent pizza, but not worth the 40+ min wait. The waitress apologized and said they had a catering order come in (which apparently got cooked first, instead of cooking the orders for people actually at the restaurant. When they brought us our check, the waitress said we have given you a discount for the wait, I looked at our bill, and this "discount" was a whole $2.68! Really...why even bother? The pizza wasn't bad, but that wait definitely left a bad taste in my mouth.
Service was good. Food was amazing. We ordered Strombolis and they were huge!!
