They shouldn’t call it fish and chips. We got breaded fish sticks instead af a pice of cod with beer batter. Really disappointed for the price.

Everything about this restaurant was amazing including the food, view while dining on outdoor deck, and our waiter Jackson.

Best dinner in St. Augustine ever. 34 year local. The food and the staff were amazing. Super romantic atmosphere on the water. The food was so good I forgot to take pictures and when I looked down at the plates they were gone. We started with champagne. Followed up by the Pear pasta , Vanilla grouper and a wonderful Lavender and Pistachio dessert. If you haven’t tried Cap’s on the water? What are you waiting for?

Great atmosphere all around, delicious food with awesome service

Caps on the water exceeded our expectations. We had a large party and expected a long wait. I think we waited less than 30 min before our table was ready. The service was great and the food was amazing! One of the best restaurants I’ve been to. Highly recommend

Awesome experience. Sat promptly. Drinks in no time at all. Appetizers showed up in minutes. Friendly staff. Well worth it. Food was absolutely amazing.

We have been going to Caps for several years. This time was a big disappointment. Prices have gone up everywhere, but it's a little crazy when the appetizers are almost the same as the entrees. We got there at 5:30 and got a table along the water by the back bar. First time we brought our grandchildren, 3 and 5, ( they have traveled many places) they ordered off the regular menu. While waiting, they went down to the water to play, 6:30 no food. We asked what was going on, they went to check, not ready yet. The servers were all so nice, they kept asking where our food was. 7:00 p.m. no food, now we relaxed and the view is great, but come on. The server brought the kids a fruit bowl, which was nice. Maybe it was just a bad night, but we got our food at 7:15, all of the mashed potatoes were cold along with the friend shrimp plate. Also, Caps is no longer a Hidden Gem, everybody knows about it. Maybe they should start taking reservations. There are to many good restaurants now in St. Augustine and Ponte Vedra to go to.

This is truly a great find! The waitstaff was welcoming and accommodating. We enjoyed the cuisine as well as the view. We sipped on delicious mojitos and watched the children play on the beach and climb on the drift wood tree as the boats passed by. You can while away the hours without ever feeling rushed. The poached pear, prosciutto and pomegranate salad was amazing! There was plenty of room for inside eating if a passing rainstorm happens upon you. We will definitely return the next t time we’re in town!

This was our first time at Caps. I wish we had waited 45 minutes for a table closer to the water. The view is great. We sat down right away at a booth under a cover. We all ordered seafood dishes that were fantastic. The service was great , and the options from the bar were plenty. Caps has multiple dining options including inside in the air conditioning. The food here is a little pricier - we went as couples on married “dates”. But this place is a definite recommendation from me.

So glad we found this restaurant Great service, excellent drinks, expansive wine list, amazing views of the sunset…oh yes and good food!
