My daughter and I went for lunch on a super hot & busy day. The workers were very friendly and accommodating. Service was fast despite how busy it was. We both had paninis and they were delicious! I got one to go for my son and when we walked it home to him he said it was the best sandwich he had yet. Very hard working staff with a great attitude ?Thanks for the best lunch we had during our whole stay in St. Augustine ‼️
Wife and I went in Wed 3/30 and got 2 Large mixed frozen Sangrias. A nice young man waited on us and he was friendly and nice. Served us our drinks in two plastic cups and filled up almost to top. The drinks were fantastic! The next day we wanted the same drinks again. We ordered from a middle aged Asian gentleman. He only filled up both glasses halfway. I asked that he fill up more closer to top as explained in day before and they were filled up close to top. He refused and went to get his boss. A man with CHEF on his coat appeared and asked what was the problem? I explained above and he too said he couldn’t fill up. He talked down to us and tried to teach us same amount in a regular glass as a to go cup. Advised that wasn’t the issue - advised an employee yesterday filled up and today only halfway. He offered to reimburse us. He states couldn’t do more as he stated tough times and they were their to make money. CHEF not customer oriented at all. I perceived as rude and arrogant. He should of done the right thing and topped off our glasses with Frozen Sangria. We took the drinks anyways as we were thirsty. Unfortunately, we will never return and we will tell friends and relatives not to go there ever. CHEF doesn’t care about the customer and worried about a couple ounces of Sangria will break his business.Response after Owners - seeing your response i can tell you are not customer oriented. Its all about doing the right thing; and you and your business failed to do so. I will not be back, and I hope several consumers see this review and your response.
I was just recently at this place looking to buy some water more specific, Perrier water. I asked the cashier behind the bar at the register if I could have two bottles of water which she brought up the transaction at the register and told me it was $8 and change and I gave her two $5 dollars bill. She gave me the change and told me to grab out of the refrigerator. And I told her there was none in there and she turned with some attitude, I didn’t like that. When she went to look in the refrigerator the other person said he was the manager and apologized not having any water in there because they were busy. -Which is OK! Before that she asked me if I wanted the money back because no She thought they had a no more water. I told her yes I handed back the changes she put in my hand to her hand and in the meantime the other person told me that they had to water but not cold and I told if they had to go glasses with ice would be okay.I and walked away and the girl kept my change never reverse the transaction and kept the change. 10 minutes lady walking back she said she never had the money and didn’t wanna do anything about it. I explained to the other person what’ve happened and it feels like you are annoying them. The girl turns to me and say I cannot believe you came back for a $1,00 dollar. Now it’s my turn to say publicly what I think about that. People take for granted just because you’re a tourist, it doesn’t matter what you do, what they do, they just wanna make sure to get your money out of your pocket not being responsible or being nice regardless, no customer service is provide to the clients! It is so sad to see a such beautiful place with people(works) and business that only wants your money. Unfortunately that’s the reality, the unattachment from Humans it is amazing.it happened on April 16, 2022.
The gelato tastes really good. Very rich flavors and the consistency feels like the traditional italian gelato. If you are looking for a fresh and sweet treat, definitely check this place out!
Stopped here for a quick lunch yesterday. Very pleasantly surprised with the selection. From a glass of wine to THE best sweet tea ever. My friend and I shared the Mona Lisa panini and it was great! The proprietor (dark haired man) exudes happiness and has such a wonderful smile. The kind of business you’d search out because of extreme kindness, welcoming aura and quality food. We’d happily return here again. Thanks so much! ?
Stopped to grab lunch on Good Friday. Nice limited menu that you are seated for drinks then go to counter and place your order. Party of three and I ordered for all. I ordered a Tuna Salad (thinking I was getting a Panini Tuna Salad sandwich). There were both on the menu. I received, relatively quickly, a Tuna Salad. I asked the server/manager (?) if I could just get a piece of bread as I thought I was getting a Panini. He "informed" me that , "THAT is what you ordered and our bread is already laid out for other orders". He continued on smiling and never looked back. I was not as mad as my wife and daughter were at the way he handled it. When you look on Yelp reviews, it is amazing how ALL of the comments state how rude this man is. I think he knows that the majority of people who visit are guests from out of town and is not particularly worried about ANYBODY returning. Seems like he could have clarified at ordering "is that a Tuna Salad or a Tuna Salad Panini. Just saying. It was rude enough that I would never recommend nor return.
Went to this establishment for mixed Sangrias on Wednesday 3/30. We ordered to large to go plastic cups and frozen Sangria. Young man that waited was very nice and professional and filled our cups almost to the top. We loved so much; went back on Thursday 3/31. We ordered the same 2 Large Frozen Sangrias to go. A different man - middle aged Asian man served us and only filled the glasses halfway. After he set them down on the counter; I asked that he please fill up more as they did yesterday. He said no and left to get a older obnoxious man with a CHEF written on his shirt. I explained that we ordered same as yesterday and got half the Sangria. He said the guy was new and he would have a word with him. I told him regardless if new or not,; we expect to receive the same order and Sangria as day before. He stated NO and would give our money back if we want. He also talked down to us and educate us on amount of Sangria in their in store glass dumped into a to go plastic cup. I told him that didn’t matter and the right thing to do is top off the Sangria and fill up plastic cup like employee did yesterday. He refused still and said we are here to make money and times are tough. I wanted to drinks because i liked them ; so my wife and I took them anyway. The sad part is; we’ll never return again when we visit St Augustine and we will tell all our friends and relatives not to eat or drink there. Not customer friendly and need to learn customer service skills. CHEF was very arrogant and he should of done the right thing and filled up both glasses with frozen Sangria. Thought it would break his business if he did. We will never be back and be aware any customer of this establishment. The customer is not the main focal ; they themselves are. Too bad… will never return. Bill P. Seminole, Florida
Stumbled upon this little cafe at the end of a long day of walking. Right on the corner of the delightful St. George pedestrian mall, this was a welcome chance to sit and have very good gelato, especially the pistachio.
Delicious and quaintMy friend and I stopped in here to get out of the rain, and didn't expect much.We ordered a Cuban sandwich and a Ruben, as well as some hot chocolate to warm us up.There isn't much seating and its odd that you pay up at a counter, but it's a very nice placeThe food was fantastical and much better than expected! The Ruben especially was exceedingly good (although we held the sauerkraut). And the hot chocolate was the cherry on top, loved it here and will definitely stop by again!
We love love love this place. Great coffees and super canoli. The owner Scott is a true New Yorker...his staff Patrick and Val are too notch. Drop in and enjoy!
