My wife and I stopped by here for a quick lunch prior to attending a nearby tour. The service was friendly and attentive, and the food was very good. The only negative was that the price for a burger and coleslaw was rather pricey ($14.99) however, being in a prime location in a tourist town with the pandemic still going on probably accounts for that. This place is nothing fancy but the food is good and the staff are friendly.
May be a little spot ....BUT BURGERS were made to order and absolutely DELICIOUS. NOT GREEDY WITH SIZE AND TOPPINGS. Thank you
I've been vacationing to St. Augustine for many years and have passed this restaurant without giving it a try. Finally my boyfriend and I stopped in to have a quick dinner and let me tell you, I wish I could have had all of my meals here. We absolutely LOVED the food! If you're coming to town and you love shrimp po boys' they have the best one I've ever had so definitely try it. But thats not all, Amanda and Jamaica were the kindest, most efficient waitresses I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. For such a busy night when we went in Amanda remembered our drink orders and was such a sweet soul to meet. The next day on our stay we went over to Barefoot Bills again to have a drink and Amanda and Jamaica both remembered us and our orders!!!! It felt so good to be back in a place you already consider a second home (St. Augustine) with people who genuinely make it feel like it. I had so much fun, I would absolutely go back in a heart beat and I would hope that you make a stop in here too to give Barefoot Bills a try!!!!
My friend and I popped in for a quick bite to eat one lunchtime, the waitress seemed rather stern and a little preoccupied she was a little short with us when we asked questions but the food was delicious. I ordered a steak melt wrap with fries and everything tasted lovely but I wouldn’t rush back for the service unfortunately. Also the restroom was smelly and in need of a scrub!
After walking the length of Old Town searching for lunch we finally settled on Barefoot Bill's Island Grill. Our server seated us outside in the shade where a nice cooling breeze was appreciated. Unfortunately, as people came out the back door, they immediately lit their cigarettes and then stood near our table smoking before moving on. My wife ordered a BLT, it was loaded with bacon and she was pleased with her sandwich. I ordered a Cuban Sandwich and it was just okay, the pork and ham were both rather tasteless and the bread was blah. The taste I got was mustard & pickle. Price was reasonable and the beer was cold, so it was an average experience.
I ordered the "Bill da burger" and made a Hawaii themed burger with grilled pineapple, Sriracha mayo, feta cheese and BBQ sauce. Great food and laid back, beachy atmosphere.
My cousin and I ate here on a Sunday afternoon in April. We were waiting for two others. Our server was Chris and he was FANTASTIC! We were meeting other friends and family. Chris didn't mind at all that we were coming and going from the outside and very loud. On top of the wonderful service the food was delicious!!! Would definitely visit again and hope that Chris is still there!
We stopped in for dinner the other night and the service was exceptional. Chris, our waiter, went out of his way to make sure our food and experience was beyond our expectations. As for the food, I’ve had burgers at many different restaurants, and this one is definitely in my top 5. All of the food was absolutely delicious. If you are in the area and want some great food, give them a try, I doubt you’ll be disappointed.
We stopped for a drink, ended up eating.. DELICIOUS food. The staff/management were wonderful.. funny, helpful and polite. Next day we walked by it again heading somewhere else but decided to stop again. 2 days in a row.. food and drinks perfect each time. Absolutely stop in to see them
Ordered the Lava Burger and Calypso Burger. Both were cooked perfectly and tasted delicious. The staff was awesome and knowledgeable on the beers on tap. We went with Aardwolf Southbank IPA which was good.
