The food was was VERY authentic Greek. And I should know, as I am a proud American Greek. The prices are more than reasonable especially considering the large portions. Service was awesome and the ambiance took me back to Greece. I highly recommend the Athena. Also my daughter's name ❤️??
Food was good. I didn’t love my dish - the lamb shawarma was too sweet. But our saganaki app and the gyro was good. Nothing crazy unique with the gyro but a solid dish. The saganki was super well seasoned though and one of the better ones I’ve have.

Stopped for lunch after our walking tour around 1:30 on a Monday. No wait. Wanted to eat light so we chose the Greek salad with gyro meat and shared. It arrived promptly and was very good. Service was attentive.
Saganaki-Flaming cheese. A big hit! Whole family loved it! Gyros and Greek salads. Very accommodating and right downtown. Parking is a problem, but not their fault. Highly recommended.
We go to Athena's every year that we visit St. Augustine. We have never been disappointed in the food or service. In fact, it is one of our favorite restaurants. When we visited for lunch on March 17, it was packed. We were seated quickly and the server was amazing!! She was very attentive although she was running her feet off! Best food and best server ever!! We will always go there on every visit to this beautiful city.
