Second time here. Both times, I had a really nice dinner. Tonight my husband didn’t enjoy his hamburger. He said it didn’t have much flavor. But, their fire grilled NY strip steak, with fresh veggies and mash was AMAZING. I’m actually door dashing desert and the pretzels now as well. We ate a few hours ago and I wanted the hot brownie sundae at my hotel ! Lol. I had that the last time I was here a few years ago ! Everything is delicious.

We had the flight of beers which was okay, and a couple of other drinks. They have a great selection of beer, wine, and cocktails. The service was good. We sat in the bar area which was really busy but managed well by the 2 bartenders. The star of the evening was the blue crab artichoke dip. This dish was amazing and will have you licking the bowl wanting more!

Always wanted to come sit on the balcony at the waterfront! Not impressed very run down and dirty. Missing ironwork closed with caution tape. Came in a noon on a Sunday to an empty restaurant. Ordered an hour later still no food. Server forgot order. Really just want to leave now. Big waste of time

Choose a outside balcony table ! Good food .., my husband said the steak was so so . Fish Taco’s very good! Service tonight was so so maybe ? he had a lot going on personal understanding we all do … still tipping

We have been enjoying A1A ale house for over 15 years when we visit St. Augustine. Its in a great location and easy walk from downtown. You can enjoy a great view of the Bridge of Lions or the Park. Our last few visits have been disappointing. In all fairness Covid seems to have taken a toll on a lot of restaurants. We were there on a Monday and it took the better part of 45mins to complete our order. The beverages came fast and that was about it. We ordered shrimp tacos and some hummus appetizer. The server was doing the best she could and kept apologizing for the delay in our meal. We want to keep loving A1A.

I arrived about 15-30 minutes before my husband who had to park the car and walk down. I was seated and was able to order a drink immediately. By the time my hubby got there we ordered pretty quickly. Our food arrived promptly, was piping hot and absolutely delicious. Our server was amazing as was our entire experience! We will certainly be back.

Kimberly was our server when we went for dinner on our last night in St. Augustine. Even though she was busy doing multiple jobs, we never felt unattended to during our trip. We ordered the crap and artichoke dip for an appetizer…AMAZING! Then, we got the shrimp with key lime butter linguine…it was so delicious and had so much shrimp in it. We had ordered an extra skewer of shrimp, which was comped due to the kitchen getting busy and food arriving later. Although, honestly, we didn’t even notice as we were enjoying the view of the harbor and conversation. But, we did appreciate the gesture and we’re thankful we chose AIA Ale House for our last meal despite so many wonderful choices around the town!

Water view with indoor and outdoor seating. House salad was delicious with balsamic vinaigrette. Risotto tots were interesting and delicious. Staff was good.

As one of a select few restaurants in downtown St. Augustine that offered online reservations, we were happy to book our party of 4 for prime time @ 7:30. When we arrived and checked in with the host, we were immediately informed that “we don’t take reservations”. Not only did I make a reservation online but also received a text several hours later to confirm it. Unfazed and utterly indifferent, the host told us that our alleged reservation is actually “priority seating” and our check-in now l placed us behind 2 other waiting parties. For approximately the next half hour we watched party after party (at least 6) get told the same ‘no reservation for your reservation’ story. I understand restaurants have to make adjustments to accommodate customers when at capacity. It was painfully obvious that this was not that but rather a bait and switch tactic to get customers to come in under false pretenses rather than go elsewhere. We did eventually sit and the food was decent and the waiter friendly but I still left with a bad taste in my mouth.

We stopped in here for lunch on a warm day. The restaurant was not crowded at all. It took a while for the hostess to come back to her station and seat us. It then took entirely too long for someone to come take our order. By the time someone came to take our order we gave them everything…drinks, appetizer and meal. The food was ok at best. The drinks were good and my husband was pleased with the beer selection. The best part of the meal was the view, which overlooked the Marina. When it was time to leave we had to get up and look for our server because again, there was no help to be found. This is not a place we would recommend.
