Our waitress and manager was very nice. The food, not so much. I had steamed shrimp and fries. For the price it was below average in taste. My husband loves Shrimp and Grits but couldn't eat it. It said blackened shrimp but the shrimp was more like black pepper with no flavor. The grits were fried ( who would do that to Grits). The manager offered to replace, but we were over it.
Visiting from out of town and came with my husband, to catch up with my brother and his wife. This restaurant was named along with other in info supplied to us about surrounding dining options. It seemed that the menu had a lot of variety. We ladies wanted salads and the guys wanted something more to stick to their ribs. This is a relatively small end unit in a shopping plaza near by. Dining is available outside, but we were surprised by a very nice looking bars, which had several patrons at it. A separate indoor dining room has both a few booths and tables. We were greeted like family from moment we walked in and offered a choice of seating options. We had begun reviewing menu options which were handed to us as we sat down. For a small place, I wondered how so many choices could be available: beef, chicken, seafood, pasta, salads, very interesting side dishes. Sometimes when so many options are available, few are done very well but NOT HERE! Our server, Caitlyn J, was just as bubbly and delightful as my mango mimosa. In fact, her comments regarding the bartender’s skills were spot on. My husband enjoys a well made martini and definitely like the one here. The mango mimosa certainly seemed to have fresh mashed mango, not just a flavored syrup. My brother can be challenging with his sense of humor and questions and this young woman, who said she was 18, was mature well beyond her years. Demonstrated just OUTSTANDING, people skills. Said she was not family but wanted patrons to feel that way. She answered many many questions, including whether Ruth’s Famous Crab Cakes, were really good enough to to be labeled that way. Caitlyn enthusiastically assured my brother that they were, as Ruth was the wife of the owner and it’s her recipe. My brother agreed they were amazing, including the sauce. He also ordered a side of fried green beans, which we all tasted and loved. Very unique! My husband ordered the Stacked Beef Tips. Nice portion 3 high with a layer of fired onion rings between each portion of beef, surrounded by a creamy sauce with mushrooms. A steak knife standing in the middle made a fun presentation, but he announced the beef was fork tender a knife was really not needed. My sister-in-law had a chopped salad with chicken, and I had the summer salad with chicken, bleu cheese, cranberries and glazed pecans. All the meals were nicely presented and we would order again, but we’d want to try many other items. This place is a GEM. Great food. Great bar. Great service. We had just the kind of experience that made us so very glad we found it. While my husband and I are heading back to Tampa, we’ll be back next year. My brother and his wife have other friends coming later in the week and absolutely plan to return with them. Although we were here for dinner, breakfast and lunch is served as well, and after all we had tonight, they are eager to try some of those items as well.
I had the crabcake sandwich with Ceasar salad. Daughter had cheese steak. Both were delicious! Waiter was attentive and kind.
Nice and clean. I would describe my experience as adequate but not exceptional. The service was ok. We were never offered more drink or asked if we we needed anything additional. The food was good and hot. Nothing fancy. My baked potato was a bit overcooked. The large potato, however, did not makeup for the small portion of shrimp. The coleslaw was tasty but swimming in mayo sauce. So, as I said before, just ok.
My wife and we’re staying close by. The only restaurant we both agreed on. Ambiance is nice, menu was very nice, attentive staff and sone really cute animal antics on a repeating TV. Wings were excellent. My wife had a chicken salad melt that was good but her coleslaw was less than great shall we say. I had only just discovered Poke’s and tried theirs with Ahi tuna and whatever else came with their idea of a Poke. Just so so. Ahi tuna, I would bet money had been frozen? Still good but just not up to what I thought it should have tasted like. Simply not much taste but cooked expertly. Some mandarin oranges, a small amount of avocado, brown rice and a few other things. I think Poke is supposed to be cold, this wasn’t. I told our very vice server, when he asked about our meal, what I am writing here and that I had better Poke at my local Publix market in the sushi area. Almost Everything on their menu look very good and my wife and I would go back to the restaurant but not to eat another Poke fore sure.
Nice atmosphere but the food was just okay. We had the Reuben sandwich and Prime rib special. Will try something else next time.
Enjoyed our meal, staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. I can't believe how well the wait staff held it together while being understaffed in a full restaurant. Kailey was so professional and made our experience good. I will come back again.
We had our Christmas Eve dinner catered and it was the best dinner ever. The food was prepared perfectly. The portions were more than adequate. The beef could be cut with a fork! Each selection came with instructions. So wonderful! Thank you Jason!
My experience there was nothing but horrible! I spent more than a hundred dollars on brunch, and the bartender Allie was nothing but rude and disrespectful to us! Never return! Hire a nicer bartender!
Best bartender ever. Had dinner and a few drinks. Allie our bartender/server is once again the reason we come back here. We have options and we choose Allie.
