Wonderful authentic food!
First time to dine-In at this place. It was a mouthwatering dinner. We ordered their Shrimp Lovers and it was loaded! The combination are shrimp, mussels, corn, eggs, potatoes & garlic butter cajun! Great combination! The staffs are friendly and they have a live music as well with a type of saxophone played by the owner. Will surely come back again! Thanks ?
This was a really great seafood boil. I ordered the Big Boss. It was packed with a lot of things, 3 snow crab legs, potatoes, 4 hard boiled eggs, a lot of shrimp, about 5 huge mussels, sausages and probably more stuff I left out. It had a good kick of spice and garlic butter flavor! My husband loved the gumbo as well. We will be back and will tell my friends and family about this place. There is no other place where I can get a nice boil from.
Yesterday was our first time in Taste Of New Orleanz and YOU have to go! This cozy restaurant has left the best impression! The Big Boss seafood platter was delicious, and the beignets amazing. The atmosphere is chill and the staff is friendly. The service we received was so amazing. We will definitely be back again.

I'm torn!Give a well deserved 5-star review, or don't review at all and keep this hidden gem a secret all to myself!We decided to try something new tonight, and heard very good reviews on this place in Brooksville called "Taste of New Orleanz". We arrived to find plenty of parking, despite being extremely busy, which shocked us for Brooksville!Upon entering the place, it wasn't a traditional sit-down and wait for someone to come ask "have you been waited on yet?", but more of a hands-on place...and when I say hands on, I mean WOW, bring your wet wipes!Wait, I'm getting ahead of myself here! We sat down at a small quaint booth and looked the menu over. Sooo many varieties, options, spices etc! We chose the "Boss", which was a Cajun boil with potatoes, corn on the cob, kielbasa sausage, shrimp, snow crab legs, hard boiled eggs and a phenomenal garlic butter spice to boot!We asked for recommendations and they confirmed "The Boss" was a restaurant favorite! I would say, we sat for maybe 20 minutes tops, before we received our food, And due to recent online reviews, they were unexpectedly very busy!I can't even really put into words, just how amazing this food was! I was kicking myself with confusion, not understanding how I didn't know this place even existed for the last year!When I tell you the owner of the place was present, I mean he was behind the register, on top of the stove, and...drumroll, this guy busted out a saxophone and brass flute! We heard him playing from around the corner, and looked at each other and shrugged in disbelief that someone would actually be playing live at this small little quaint restaurant on a Friday evening, and play that well without charging a cover!!! We both said to ourselves "No way someone is over there actually playing, I think they turned the music up"!Lo and behold, we got up and peeked around the corner and there this owner of a restaurant was sitting, Entertaining his guests with multiple instruments, with an undescribable amount of soul! To say this man has talents, and soul, is being too vague! Holy hell, we were amazed!For dessert we also had 2 amazing beignets. Soooooo good!I can't say enough about this place... Go check it out!I am a business owner myself, and understand the value of a good review, as much as I understand the ramifications of a negative comment, and this place deserves better than Google will allow. Hats off the the hands-on owner with my soul than most!
went here for the first time and I'm so glad we did. The food was excellent, I had the fish and shrimp special with fries and hush puppies, everything was cooked perfectly and had such good flavor. My boyfriend had the shrimp lovers boil and the gumbo, he also loved everything, The gumbo is amazing. The owner came out and spoke with us for a few also, What a nice guy. So glad we found this place. we will be back. Thank you for a great meal.
I hardly ever leave reviews but I felt like I had to for this place. My wife and I are from Boston and we hadn’t found a seafood place that gave us our home seafood fix but this place was amazing!! Better than home! I wish I could give 10 stars and on top of that the owners was sooooo nice interacting with my daughter which she enjoyed. We have found our spot and absolutely would recommend and will definitely be back.
My mom and I ate here today for the first time and absolutely loved it! The food is amazing and the live saxophone music was wonderful too! Everyone was so nice as well! I definitely recommend coming here!
