We visit Rookies for dinner about once a month. We are always pleased with the service and the quality of the food. While it is bar food it’s still pretty decent and worth trying. The atmosphere is relaxed. The bar and dining area have multiple televisions for viewing whatever sports you like. The drinks are fairly priced. I highly recommend Rookies.
Rookies is a neighborhood Standard. This place takes pride in putting out hottest fresh fun pub food around. Staff is great too, remembering many people/families that come in. My husband and I love going there. We also recently tried their Sunday Brunch, tasting several things (breakfast flatbread, covered tots, and avocado toast) the 1st two were superb, the last not so much, but there were still a few other things to try. We are looking forward to our next visit.
Rude and unprofessional service. This is a sports grill. My daughter and I visited mid day Saturday for a quick bite to eat. Very few people at the time. We sat at the bar as we do everywhere we go. I always prefer a stool over a booth or seat and so does my daughter. Its quality bonding time for us while catching a bite. My daughter is underage but only ordered a coke and cheese sticks. While talking with another patron about property taxes we were approached by the manager (very much a “Karen “) and told (ordered) to move. They tried to tell me no minors allowed at the bar. I replied this is untrue, state law fully allows minors to sit at a bar as long as they aren’t consuming alcohol. We go to many restaurants and sports bars without any issue. The manager barked back that the owners don’t care what the state law is my daughter isn’t allowed to sit there. So we immediately left and went to another restaurant where there wasn’t any problem. May have good food and lots of TVs to watch, but their sheer arrogance and disregard in honoring and following our state’s laws is horrible.
Very good food. Beer … no happy hour so it’s alittle over priced. Great service
To say my experience was awful is being kind. To start the waitress was unorganized. She did not stay at the table long enough to take a complete order. She would start and stop walk away come back and ask for it to be repeated. This happened multiple times. I was told to take my mask down because I was mumbling. We ordered our drinks, Yager and a Corona with lime, brought back the beer and told it would be right out on the Yager only to be told "oh we don't have that". Food we asked to have to go was brought to the table as part of the meal. Had to literally put my hand in the aisle just to stop her for a moment. Then was told waitresses don't have time to slow down. Finally the food arrives only to be cold and cooked wrong. (ANOTHER WAITRESS BROUGHT HOT FRIES OUT, THANKS) A burger medium rare came out well done. The Patriot burger I ordered was to have the pork on the side and my and have lettuce tomatoes mayo pickles and onions was my order to my surprise it came out plain, no lettuce or tomato or anything for that matter. My first experience at this establishment was less than pleasant, but I thought I would give it another shot. This will be my last visit. Sorry NANCY but you need to slow down and listen to your customers. And use the pen and pad to take a complete order. SORRY ROOKIES. I REALLY AM. The wings don't even look like Buffalo wings is there a shortage of Buffalo sauce? And which is the honey garlic. It was 6 Buffalo and 6 honey garlic, why would you not separate them it was 2 separate orders with our burgers. This restaurant was named properly all pun intended.
I normally hate going to bars but the service and food here is above and beyond from everyone who served us. I'd recommend coming here to anyone, whether they're a sports fan or not. You won't be disappointed
The best Fish & Chips i have eaten ! Cod !! and 4 pieces ! Great service ! ty Rookies and staff ! Ronny !
The waitress was rude. Then she complained about me to one of her coworkers. She did t give us her name. She needs to learn to be polite to her customers. Then we received our chicken, forty-five minutes later. It was evident that it was undercooked. So we were both sick. I am never going back. It's a shame, none of those incidents should have happened..
We sat outside under the big tent they had set up. Very nice, TV's(only one worked) heaters and a bunch of fans. Really set up nice.Chairs were not overly comfortable but not intolerable either. The server was really good, and the food was good, not great. What I wasn't too crazy about was that different people started showing up with their dogs. Not service animals. We asked the server, and she said it wasn't aloud. But no one did anything about it.It wouldn't have been bad if all the dogs were well behaved like the first couple. Their dog never made a noise. Not even when other dogs showed up.One person's dog was none stop barking at the other dogs, people, and poor server every time she came to check on them. The last straw was this couple brought in this very big young dog. He jumped up on the poor server and was about as tall as she was. They tied him to the little railing. Every time hit pulled on the railing to try to say hi to someone, it looked like he would rip it out the ground. On that note, we left a big tip for the poor server that was having a rough afternoon and left
I truly can't say enough good things about this restaurant. Food is always excellent, service top notch, and ambiance just right. I always tend to stick with the same entrees when ordering out in fear of getting something I won't like; however, I have gone outside my norm and tried many things on the menu and have never been let down! From the Reuben, to the chicken wings, flat breads, and the Shepherds pie, all very tasty. Thank you Rookies!
