I have been craving LJS for awhile now. So we decided to drive 20 miles to eat! Big mistake! We got two of the two piece meals with onion rings and coleslaw with a small drink! Total was $26 and change! Total rip-off! I have never spent that much at a fast food restaurant! Went to a steak house the night before and it didn’t cost that much! Needless to say we will NOT be returning! Save your money and go up the street to Golden Coral! Better food and less money!
i just spent $43 there and they forgot my drink and 3 orders of grilled shrimp! i live 1 hour away
I'm very picky when it comes to Long John silver's because one of my favorite jobs I ever had was it Long John silver's in West Virginia. But I have noticed in my vast experience is if it's combined with another restaurant like yours has A&w it's not as good. But that's not your fault. Where I'm at now I never see a Long John silver's so when I saw one in Brooksville Florida I had to go because it's always bad one of my favorite things in the world. Except when I worked there and couldn't taste it anymore LOL. My wait and drive through was extremely long. Which I did order a family meal so I was okay with that to me that just meant I was getting fresh hot food. But then when I got back to my hotel room to eat it, it mostly went to my dog Jojo. Which that's because I ordered some just for her. But the fish was too dark, which tells me maybe old grease it was tough and not as palatable as my mouth was watering for. And the entire family meal two pieces of fish all the hush puppies and the shrimp which were an add-on not part of the family meal and the sides we're good I had onion rings and french fries they were both good. But for the most part The fish and Chicken was not very good at all and for me to finally find a Long John silver's that was so disappointing. I didn't call or anything at the time I was having other problems with my car and stuff so that just seemed at the bottom of my list but since my Google asked me how it was I thought I would tell you
I know what she of you are thinking. Why would anyone give this place a five star review? Well, I could easily complain that the lobby was closed, the line at the drive thru was ridiculously long, and the wait to get my food took a little bit longer than usual for a fast food joint. It was what they did right that gets them this review. First off, even though they were seriously understaffed, things steadily moved along. Additionally, when I did get my food, it was, in my opinion based on the heat coming off the bag, fresh out of the fryer. The last who took my order was very pleasant on the speaker, double checking what I had ordered. At the window, she was very courteous and cheerful. Even though only 2 people were working, and drive thru was slam packed. Hot food, accurate order, friendly attitude, and courteous staff. This, they get five stars, because frankly, I would have been snarling at people at that point.
Extremely overpriced, greasy. Ordered fish and shrimp. Recieved 3_4 shrimp. While eating last piece of shrimp, noticed BLACK spots on shrimp. Spoke with manager, who stated that it was just a discoloration . i asked discoloration from what ? Could not explain logically, and when asked to hand back piece of shrimp, hesitated, causing me to ask mutiple times until I said we paid for it & want it back. Spent over $27 on our meal. The fact manager wanted to keep the. discolored shrimp , spoke volumes. Not sick, YET.
We dined in. I'm glad this location is open for dine in. The ocala one is not. It's nice to enjoy it while its fresh. The food was cooked well and tasted fresh. The A&W freeze shake was delicious. I would come back to this location again. I had a good experience
Its been 2 years since we've eaten at a LJ's that was close to our house that closed. The food prices aHave gone up by $6 dollars a meal? What was 8.50 is now like $14.99. The food was eh, good. The corn tasted like it came from a well greased machine with the extra grease in the corn.We watched a employee come from the outside while putting his work shirt on, clock in and go straight to handling and food without washing hands.

Waited in drive through for 5 minutes, checked google to make sure they were open, called the number listed on google and no answer, drove up to the window to see if the place was still in business to see 3 women standing around.Instead of opening the window and communicating, the drive through woman stuck her finger up to say wait a second/minute. After 2 minutes watching her using the registers computer I drove away.You can stick that finger where the sun don’t shine. Nearly 10 minutes and all I wanted was a root beer.
Ordered 12 piece fish and chips family meal and got chicken. Also asked for extra fries but got hushpuppies. Smh. This was after we had made turkey 2 days before and had left overs the next day. The last thing my husband wanted was more "bird." Got home and found we got chicken, not fish. Omg. Called and spoke with the manager, Julie, who was so kind. She made it right and gave me the fish and extra family fries. I think that's customer service worth 5 stars.
