We had dinner here. The man behind the counter was very pleasant. We had the ground beef potato balls and they were very bland - almost like they had no spices and actually tasteless.. The fried steak and onions were also very bland and not very tender. I'm not sure why everything tasted as if there were no spices/flavor added. We had the cheese flan and rice pudding and they were also very bland and seemed to be prepackaged. We did enjoy the tostones and garlic. The restaurant was very cozy and comfortable and the atmosphere was very pleasant.
New to the area and stopped into Le Lechonera to grab a gift certificate for my son's teacher and decided to try the mofongo/trifongo with lechon. All I have to say is AMAZING! My husband is Puerto Rican and I have tried many different restaurants and family/friends lechon but this by far was one of the best. Was NOT salty and the flavor was delicioso! Still have tamales and cake for later - yum! We definitely will be back for lunch and probably a catering order. The staff was super friendly :-)
The food is good but what kind of restaurant closes at 6 on a saturday? WHAT time do they think people eat? Tried calling at 545 no one answered the phone. I never heard of a restaurant that closes AT dinner time on a weekend. I guess they don't like to make money or just lazy and don't want to work. Your issues aren't my issues and if you can't make your business work that's your problem not mine. If you don't like reviews then get out of the restaurant business. I didn't review your personal life so I don't care about your personal issues. And by the way complaining about my review instead of trying to win over an unhappy customer is probably why you are failing. Congrats now you have 1 less customer.
I'm a life long Tampa resident and have enjoyed many good spanish restaurants. This one is BAD. Worst Ropa Vieja and Picadillo I've had. Red beans were seasoned with coffee. Even the Plantanos were poor. Do not eat here!
Best Cuban sandwich I've ever had! I lived in tampa/Hyde park for 10 years and this sandwich is better than any one I had there or in Ybor.
The food here is amazing! The lechon is like someone cooked the whole pig in the china box, and the black beans and rice are seasoned perfectly like they spaced over the stove for hours. I've never had anything else because this tastes like heaven. Staff is always kind and will answer any of your questions. If you go here you will want to return weekly at a minimum! FYI if you are from Miami it's very similar to blue sky but tastes better.
Just found this place on Google and is strait up Puerto Rican food I'm glad I came over small place but tasty food like it should
Ordered two dozen pasteles. Horrible!!! No meat in many of them and they tasted aweful! Owner/manager is rude and never opens on time. Will never go back! Yuk!
We ordered 4 plates of arroz con gandules, pernil and amarillos and wow the food tasted amazing. The pernil seasoning was right on spot .
My favorite place already in Spring Hill. The cubanos are legit, the empanadas are really good too and the tres leches cake they offer is really good. Additionally the people are very nice and friendly offering a great environment to eat but too bad the place is not that big, but I’m ok with that. I highly recommend this place, you won’t be disappointed.
