I really want to love this place. It has lots of potential and close to home. I have eaten here about 4 times for breakfast and once with my wife for lunch. The food definitely seems under seasoned and hot food not so hot. On one occasion I asked for a napkin twice and never got it. My last experience today was disappointing. I ordered 3 eggs over well with links, breakfast potatoes and rye toast. I received white toast 2 eggs and the potatoes were barely warm. It came out very quickly maybe to quick. The staff is very friendly and hard working. They are probably under staffed like most places these days. Perhaps I will give them another try in the near future.
This is a nice place to eat. They are very friendly at this restaurant. If you have any issues they take care of them right away. The staff is great at answering any questions you have about their menu selections. The. Manager/Owner is a sweet lady. I have been eating here for years. We take a lot of our friends here for their birthdays. They have a great variety of foods to chose from. I have never had anything that wasn't good. My friend had the seafood soup. They have all you care to eat fish on Friday's.
I heard lots of rave review about Jam's Cafe and couldn't wait to visit during their open hours for breakfast or lunch. We finally made it for a late(r) breakfast on Saturday April 9, 2022. It was busy but only took about 4-5 minutes to get a table. We were seated at the smallest 2 person table I have ever sat at. There wasn't room for me to put my purse anywhere so I had to keep it on my lap the whole time- no big deal though. Our waitress was super friendly (sorry I don't remember her name but she had a leopard print apron). I ordered a cheese omelet with home fries (I heard they were great) and wheat toast. I had to ask for utensils as there was only 1 set on the table but she grabbed one quickly off the table next to us. The omelet was hot enough that I had to blow on it, the toast was good but the home fries were cold, like really cold, enough that I didn't eat them. I didn't bother to ask for hot ones because we didn't want to wait and I wasn't sure if she would take my whole plate or bring a new one, which there would not have been room for anyway. Will that stop me from going back? Absolutely not. I would go there again for sure. Maybe next time we will get a bigger table and I will send the homefries back if they are cold. Husband ate every bite of his meat lovers omelet (he only wished it was bigger), grits and toast. He drank a giant glass of OJ and I had water. I would give 5 stars but cold home fries, you know. ?
Nice place. I had the hungryman breakfast. When it came out. My eggs and home fries(potatoes) were barely warm. The only items that were hot. Was the bacon and sausage. The waitress did make it right. By having a new order of eggs and potatoes made. When paying the bill I had an additional charge on my bill. It was a non food charge. I asked about it. I was told it was something new the owner was doing. So with the cold food and additional charge. I won't be revisiting this location for any meal. Sorry.. first impression wasn't good.
My husband & I visited for breakfast. VERY DISAPPOINTED. I had 1 egg, sausage, hash browns & rye toast. My toast was very lightly toasted on one side of the bread the other side was NOT TOASTED….how do they do that and why would the owner think this taste good. The single egg was a small or medium egg at best. The hash brown was only cooked on the top. It tasted steamed and pasty. We asked the waitress if she could put it back on the griddle as it was raw on the bottom and did they always cook them only on one side? She said we needed to ask for them to be “crispy”.She brought them back warmed not brown, I’m not sure it ever touched a griddle. (My husband & I could not eat the pasty glob.) the bill for 2 Breakfast w/one coffee and 1 water was over $25.00! We will go elsewhere next time. I gave them 2 circles because my husband said the coffee was good and the sausage was very tasty but everything else DISAPPOINTING and EXPENSIVE. Also..they play very loud music. Very annoying.
Location: adequateFood: good, delicious, hotService: a lot to be desiredOur Server was #8 last night (01/28/22).She was NOT on top of her game.We had to ask 2X for our soup we ordered, when we finally received our soup, a minute later our entrees were brought to our table.Thank goodness the food was nice and hot so we could enjoy our soup without our entrees getting cold.We had to ask 2X for a takeout container as well.Sadly, a couple sitting next to us had the same issues of repeatedly asking for items. You could tell the lady was NOT happy with her arms crossed in front of her.As a former Server, I understand it’s a busy physical job, but your customers shouldn’t have to repeatedly ask for ordered items, nor should entrees be served right after soup/salad are served, clear sign the Server forgot to serve the soup/salad.This was the 3rd time dining at this restaurant since 2017, and sadly nothing has really changed, except that the food is hot when you receive it.We will NOT be returning!!!
This was my family’s first time coming here because we here all the hype about this place. My son and my food were great. When my husband got his food it all was completely cold and told the waitress. She took it back and they just put it in the microwave which was pretty disappointing to us but my husband still ate it since we didn’t want it to go to waste. As my husband went to go pay he told the cashier and she was o your the one who kept sending your food back which was only one time cause the food was cold. My husband was little surprised how he was treated. The waitress only came to our table one time after the cold food. Wish this place was as good as everyone said it was. I was not going to give a review but after how my husband was treated I had too.
Good reviewI was a little disappointed. I haven’t been to jams on about 8 years and to come back and it be booming I thought I’d give it a try again. Got the gyro, the meat was over cook and tasted a little burnt. I got fries with it and well they didn’t look to good either. The waitress did get me something else and I then got the BLT but no T. The bacon was pretty crispy but the sandwich was just not right for some reason.
I eat here often with my daughter. It’s our go to for breakfast. Always good, always a great price and good service. If you’re a fan of sausage eat their special sausage links, absolutely delicious and one of the reasons we choose Jams!
Good local diner atmosphere and friendly staff, and some of thee best country fried steak I've ever had. The only reason I'm knocking of one star is because they murdered my hash browns bad like they were so burnt I'm not sure how they left the kitchen. But this was simply a one off as everything I've had from them up to this point has been good.Admittedly I have never ordered off their lunch or dinner menu so I can only speak to their breakfast
