If you enjoy frozen pizza then Guido's is the place for you. I did a comparison test between Guido's Pizza and Red Baron frozen pizza and they were exactly the same and texture and in taste. Btw who puts large pizzas in a bag? You can buy a frozen pizza for the same price. I never criticized your staff or family. I was born and raised in New York in Italian neighborhoods and part Italian myself, I know Pizza and I stand behind my review! I am not a hater like you suggest I just know a good product when I see one and when you boast for a hundred years of pizza making that's your opinion like this is my opinion. Disgrazia!
This was our second time here. 1st time, I would have given it a 2 star review because of the service. We had lunch there (subs) and the waitress was rude and the food was okay at best... soggy, untoasted bread for chicken parm that turned the bread to mush before it was served. This time we took the family and ordered two large pizzas. It had a weird sour taste to it, to the point that 4 people only finished half of 1 pie. Only my 9 year old liked it who thought it tasted like the school pizza. We mentioned it to the waitress who said she loves it, but couldn't tell us what type of cheese they used... " mozzarella i think". Not sure why we asked for a box, but apparently they don't use boxes. They gave us a Styrofoam box and tin foil sheets to box up one and a half pizzas in. Will definitely not go back.
Pizza is delicious and fairly priced. Wisconsin based and thin crust pizza. Would recommend
Usually my favorite place however twice now we have had awful pizza. There was a scant amount of sauce and cheese. There were adequate toppings but both times it was so overcooked the pepperoni crunched. The first time it was inedible so we returned it and the new one was better but still lacking cheese and sauce. The second time we said something and the waitress said maybe we should order extra cheese next time. Not sure there will be a next time. So sad because it used to be the best!!
I had an awesome experience here! The pizza for one, was really good, and perfect to share. We got pepperoni pizza and bell pepper and olive pizza. Both were great. The salad was also tasty. The servers there are really nice as well, a very welcoming atmosphere.
My husband and i ordered a sausage pizza. There were pluses and minuses. The sausage, sauce and cheese were delicious. The dough/bread was very thin and i would have liked a thicker crust. My two complaints the pie was cut in about 30 tiny pieces most having no edge crust i mean 1 1/2 to 2 inches squares except the edges which were like triangles and mostly crust. My main complaint there was a lot of burnt cornmeal sticking to the pizza. You could see the fresh corn meal and the pie itself was not burned but there was so much burned cornmeal stuck to all the little pieces it ruined the taste of the pizza. If it weren’t for that we would have enjoy it.
I have been in management for over 10 years and always believe in starting on a positive and end with a positive when possible. We came with another couple. The environment was very clean and business built up while we waited. The lasagna and pizza ordered were good. When first walking in, the hostess was not present so we started to head to the bar and decided to go back and wait to be seated at a booth when the hostess did show up and jump us for trying to seat ourselves. (The bar was mostly empty but didn't have any 4 seats together.)The booth we were sat at was very drafty from location of entry. It took the waitress 30 minutes to bring a root beer and another 45 minutes to receive our food (we watched at least 5 other tables who came in after us, receive their orders). We did not receive our garlic bread until we were paying out. Which was another confused mess... Instead of asking if the bill was on separate tickets or together, the waitress only brought 1 ticket... (Yes, we tried to tell her it was seperate. She was in too big of hurry to listen)I swear, either the waitress was extremely new with no people skills or she was scared to explain to the customer when something goes wrong on an order.Good customer service is very much about communication. Good communication is 2 thirds LISTENING.
We’re from Chicago and the pizzas were absolutely fantastic !! It’s what I’ve been missing the past 5 years. Tilly was great and very attentive! We will be back.
I had a white pizza there. It was the worst one I have ever had. The drink selection left a lot to be desired and it took a long time to get our food. The waitress was delightful but I will not be going back there. I don't recommend this place
I had the thin crust pizza. Ordered extra cheese and it was good. I had it before but picked it up. Wasn't pleased the 1st time so decided to give it another try. This time I dined in. I've been looking for a good Chicago pizza and this came very close. I'm originally from Chicago and been down here 3 years now. I go to pauls pizza in Clearwater usually but this place is closer for me and I truly enjoyed it. I definitely will be back.
