First time to visit this restaurant, had the house margarita, warm chips, great salsa. Had the Chulas sampler plate. Wanted to try a bunch of offerings. Everything was well seasoned and plated very well. Will definitly be back. Thanks for a qreat lunch.
We just enjoyed one first time visiting Chulas Mexican Grill on Mariner Blvd & Spring Hill Dr. Excellent customer service, the restaurant was nicely decorated with the cute traditional Mexican decor and the entire restaurant is very clean. The Chicken Tortilla Soup was divine, it was topped with fresh avocados and crispy tortillas chips made in house. The Carne asadas tacos tasted very authentic with lots of cilantro, red onions, and a few wedges of lime with slices of delicious carne asada. We also ordered chicken flautas the tortillas were super crunch and the the shredded chicken was juicy and well seasoned. Definitely plan on returning with our kids soon.
A restaurant has ONE CHANCE to make a good first impression of its goods, service, and atmosphere. Myself and my Wife ordered chicken Fajitas and two margaritas each, plus ice teas. The margaritas were watered down and tasteless, the chicken fajitas contained almost NO vegetables, where it should have had onions, multi colored bell peppers, tomato’s. The rice and beans did not come with any guacamole, and we had to ask for more then the dab of sour cream served, plus order and pay for guacamole at extra cost. Cheap, Cheap, and very Cheap, poor food presentation. Multiple ( at least 2) management employed stood and watched the patrons, but did nothing to assist the short staff waitresses/waiters. When we were ready to leave, we were asked weather we wanted more chips and salsa. The bussing employees were in a rush to take our plates before we were finished eating. Having lived in Southern California for 36 years, Arizona for 5 years, and eating in both Baja Mexico, and Las Algadones, Mexico, this food was horrible. With a bill of $80.00 before tip, this restaurant fails in all aspects, and we will never go there again, Jeff P, J.D.
Just checked into Chula’sMexican Grill...! What an exceptional staff and absolutely excellent customer service!! I love, love, love theDecor and fun atmosphere here!authentic Mexican food is hard to find and I have now found a Mexican Grill that I will be returning to again and again!! The dishes were presented beautifully and sooo delicious!! Well done Chula’s the drinks were fantastic as well!!!We ordered chips and salsa and Jalapeño Toreado for appetizers and for dinner we ordered Plato Mariachi and Burrito California!! Muy Bien!!
Our first time at Chulas. The food was very good and tasty. And the Tuesday taco special was great. 1.99 tacos ?! The service was good, our server was good. The restaurant was nice and clean. And good atmosphere. I have only 1 complaint. That was the cost of a small margarita. 9.50. ?? Yikes! That's pretty steep for a small house margarita. It says 12 ounces but probably was barely 6 ounces after the ice. We'll come back for the food but can't see paying 9.50 for that.
Saul will have you enjoy your stay either if your doing just take out or dinning in. Every one and I MEAN EVERYONE who works there says hi and ask if you need anything. Feels like "Family" I wanted to say Thank You to all of you who make this happen. Thank you, Scot M
We had a very nice time, enjoyed the service and food. We did not order much as we were just doing appetizer and drinks. Unfortunately the menu price on quesocheese dip said 6.50 which came out in a small container. Which was fine. After viewing my bill , I was charged 8.50 and when I asked the server who was very sweet...she said the prices change. So, I just asked for a little bit more to take home, she had to ask the manager. He told me I should've scanned the menu from the wall and would've known. I believe the menu should tell you the price. As much as we enjoyed, we will not go back as I feel that should've been explained by the server when sat. I also feel the manager should have been a little more helpful and offer more to go.
I come from an area where there is a Hispanic food restaurant around every corner, I recently moved here and tried Chulas and oh my god this food is amazing. Everything tastes like there’s this kindly old Abuela in the kitchen making everything fresh and with love. I love absolutely everything here, the friendly staff, the decorating, and everything on the menu. My waitress could slap me and I’d still come back here. I keep seeing some negative reviews but it’s mostly food quality stuff that could just be easy mistakes in the kitchen, if you don’t like the food your eating, let your server know, I guarantee you if you get something else it will be delicious.
Food is average. They do not have dishes with mole sauce and no Mexican beer on tap. Beer is still 3.50 even during happy hour. Our party of 6 have had better Mexican food. Best part was the decor. Very disappointed.
great Mexican cuisine ! love it
