Bummed. Trips in Seminole does a lot of volume on the weekends, so much so, they choose not to answer their phones. Their food is worth coming to the store for - so our family makes the drive to place to-go orders. It's just two of us, our orders are never complicated. I'm incredibly patient - kind - always allow other guests checking out or checking in to go ahead of me, before requesting to place my order. We've visted a few times per month for years now. To my surprise, I was turned away today, the team refused to take my order. Our family will choose never to spend another penny with this business. Having bulit our careers in all sides of the hospitality industry - front, back, management, owners - we don't understand this business decision. It's not the back-of-house bottleneck this team makes it out to be. A skilled Expo could have easily taken us from "butts in seats guests," to boxed up to-go, no problem. Local beach business Sweet Sage Cafe's team also has this boundary. Such a shame.
The Staff. The ladies here make You Feel at Home. The Food was Good and they were a Bonus.
Nice little restaurant. Friendly atmosphere. Waitress was incredibly nice. Ate breakfast here it was really good. I'll definitely come back. ?
The food is really good. If you dine in the restaurant the portions are MUCH bigger than if you get take out. They also tend to forget things so make sure you double check.
What a great place! Met Karen who served us at the counter and she was fantastic! Friendly, funny and great conversation. The food was amazing, especially that thick cut bacon! My wife got some nice scrambled eggs, sausage patties and taters and loved it all. Can't wait to get back and eat again and continue our conversation with Karen!
Great little diner I went there several times and especially enjoyed the hubcap pancakes. I also had the fried green tomatoes which I would highly recommend. The staff is always friendly and helpful and the food is good and not crazy expensive. I would highly recommend trips diner to anyone for any meal including breakfast lunch and dinner. I will continue to eat at this little local gem.
