This is no 5 star restaurant but the food is better than any 5 star restaurant you ever go to. We got an 18oz ribeye for $45 that was so delicious and tender. They brought out a steak cart and let you choose your own. We also tried their gator bites which were tender and delicious but let me tell you about their wings... You will never have a better wing than here. They are fried and then grilled and are perfectly crisp, tender, and absolutely yummy! We had excellent service w/ a smile and the prices were unbeatable. We're gonna try and hit this place up again before we go home because I heard their burgers were just as good. Oh and the HOMEMADE banana pudding is off the chain. Enjoy!
Amazing local spot. My brother recently moved to the area. This was the first place we ate in the area. Very welcoming Owners are amazing. Food is fresh and delicious Wait staff was very friendly. I look forward to being a regular customer Highly recommend
We were so intrigued by this spot when we drove by late last night, we just had to come back today for lunch today with my dad. First time for all of us. Yep, gator is on the menu, but we didn't partake. The food we did have was outstanding! I eat A LOT of patty melts, if I see one on the menu, I get it for comparison sake... and this may be the best I've ever had. Sooo flavorful, and most likely local beef. The homemade potato chips were crispy, delicious and fried to perfection. No floppy chips here! If you ever find yourself in Lorida, FL, come to here!
This place is a must try for anyone hungry! I started out with the gator bite, which were delicious, moved on to the fish tacos (see picture below) and they were amazing! I will definitely be coming back!
Highly recommend The Gator Shack. We were looking for a place to eat and found it on the internet. They were very busy but we only waited 10 to 15 minutes for a table. Wait staff was prompt and friendly. We had Gator bites for an appetizer. The were smoking hot and the dipping sauce was excellent. We then had burgers and fries for dinner. They were very good. Served hot with plenty of condiments.
Lightly breaded mushrooms very good. We had the seafood platter with fried gator, grilled shrimp and grilled fish filet. Everything was very good and even though they were packed when we arrived, the service was phenomenal and all food came out very quickly. Nice atmosphere inside. I would definitely suggest this restaurant to others. If I'm back in the area I will visit here again.
Good atmosphere and great food. Family favorite with lots of people!! The Gator Lager is real smooth too! Great Craft!Only thing: So the gator "dinner" is just the gator bites appetizer served in a larger portion. I wouldn't recommend getting the dinner as it was a disappointment to see more some more gator bites hit the table. The frog legs are much better! ?
Best service in the morning Ellen is the best I love the food at this place dinner has opinions for bar food mostly but when you get a steak Larry let's you pick which one you want. I'm really leaving this review because every Saturday they have the best breakfast probably in the whole state it is that good. Go have yourself the best breakfast that feels like a home cooked meal at a good price.
I don't usually eat fried food but I do love Gator tail and I am rarely in Florida. If I'm not in the locale for Shenanigans, I go directly to The Gator Shack. The Gator Shack not only has incredible food but fantastic servers as well. I doubt I get to go there just a few times every half dozen years or so but it's super tasty and a wonderful visit each and every time!(I hate to mention a different restaurant in my review, though they are on par with each other just the same, but I don't feel bad because they're both excellent restaurants and they are not close enough to each other to compete.)
Excellent service and food quality. Easy parking for a large truck. Looks a little rough on the outside at first glance but walk in the door amd take ot in. Great looking place with a great menu that seemed really clean and well managed.
