Overpriced. The sushi tasted like it was made with old rice. I checked my receipt and realized I was overcharged. I was going by their prices on the menu. I checked their website and the prices are even cheaper around $6.xx and now it's up at $8.xx. I get the price inflations but why haven't you ordered new menus with the correct price and fixed the web as well. I brought it to their attention a while back and decided to give them a try again. This time I ordered the ribeye and lobster roll which was the worst decision ever. I was sick to my stomach for a while due to the ribeye meat being rotten. I'm so glad it was just one piece that made it into my tummy because the results would probably have been worse. Please be careful with the sushi. Hope they fix the price changes on the menu And try using fresh Ingredients instead. If you're going to bring those prices up, at least use the extra money to order new menus. They aren't so expensive especially buying in bulk. I'm a graphic designer and I order menus, flyers, business cards and so on And it's never a big deal of a price.
I ordered a dish with basil and something else. The dish I received had neither of the two main ingredients and tasted nothing like basil. It was a very generic f!avor, good but not what I ordered. I won't be going back after reading the reviews. It seems they are good at playing games with people non asian.
First time visiting here and will be the last. Went in no hibachi grill. Decided to stay anyways. Ordered bourbon chicken with egg drop soup. Wife had chicken fried rice. We’ve eaten at several Japanese restaurants in the past. This food didn’t taste anything like what we’ve had before. We’ve had better food from malls. Do not recommend this place if your looking for Japanese
Wonderful. The environment the service and the food. prices are not that bad either.
I'm only giving this place 2 stars because they used to be great or else they'd be getting 1 star from me. I've been eating here over 15 years and they used to be really good but maybe they've outgrown themselves. We made reservations for 7:30 pm and were sat timely however it took 20 minutes for someone to take our order. Three people in our party ordered salmon just to find out they were out. They should have told us this when they sat us because they left and came back 15 minutes later. I changed my order from salmon to sea bass. The waitress left to put our order in just to come back 5 minutes later to tell me they no longer sell sea bass. Forty minutes just to order our food. Once we got our food it was plain, boring and flavorless. Nothing like they used to be years ago. I've noticed the last few times we've eaten there the quality was poor and the service very slow. I kept going back because I was just in disbelief because they were so good at one time. A couple months ago we went there and the place was full and there was one couple waiting before us. When I went to put our name down for the wait a young girl told us it would be an hour or more. She looked overwhelmed. The young man next to her rolled his eyes at her and said it would only be 20 to 25 minutes of a wait which seemed more reasonable but at that point I figured the girl didn't want our business and we left. It's a real shame how good they used to be and how disappointing this place is now.
It's kinda crazy that a sushi place of this quality exists in Sebring Florida. Cang Tong is still my favorite sushi restaurant in the USA. I have eaten sushi in many many places across this country, and this is still my top spot. Amazing rolls, fresh fish, good service. Kudos to the owners for running such an amazing place. Don't miss out if you are in town, or traveling on 27!
This is the first time I ordered TO GO and it will be the last. The food portion was ridiculously small three bites and the vegetables where gone I spent $80 on food and very disappointed in the portion for hibachi. When you dine in they usually give you a good amount but this was definitely not worth $80. The taste of the food was ok but better when you dine in. Definitely a bad experience.
Still could not eat! After 2 phone calls and 3 visits over a week they still refused to serve me. First visit was a Monday, got a babysitter for a nice date for me and my husband went and I asked “can we please eat at the hibachi table.” They generically replied “No” no explanation nothing so I left and called back Thursday and asked how do I go about being able to eat at the hibachi, they said it’s closed every Monday but open every other evening and told me the time they take the last round for the hibachi. Okay so got a babysitter and tried again Friday night at 6:30 they said they already were booked for the whole night. So another night no hibachi. So I called Sunday at 1pm and scheduled a reservation for us at 7:15pm that night. Got another babysitter (because I’m really dying to try this hibachi table) Showed up at 7:00 they stated they couldn’t seat me until 7:15 (mind you I can see a family finishing up at the hibachi table) okay walked to my car sat down and they waited and then called me when I got in my car to informed me that they can’t serve us until 8:15 that’s a whole hour away!!! Their sorry explanation was their computers were down and waitresses have been taking orders by hand… wth is the difference how does that put you over an hour behind? If you are sooo far behind didnt you know this with anticipation to let people know? I tried so hard but this restaurant is so unprofessional and unorganized I simply can not keep wasting time and effort to eat there when they can’t even have the decency to call ahead if they knew they were running behind. Absolutely just extremely disgusted with the people and extremely disappointed!
This restaurant has been operating in Sebring for many years, and I had never had any complaints with the food, but since I've been here for a while, the quality of its preparation has gone down, because four times I've had to throw it out when I got home and open the container on one occasion I returned it to the restaurant and on this last one the last pieces of plastic inside it and two balls of white rice inside the fried rice I hope they take this into account and improve or they will have serious problems at any time with some client thanks, Atte. Lazarus.
Everything seems to be seasoned with the same flavored spice. I can't figure it out but I find the flavor in much of their food. It's not unpleasant, just don't want to taste it in a lot of what I eat: egg rolls, ribs, beef dishes, and pork lo- mein. Overall the restaurant pleases many because it is always busy. Pleasant staff and ample parking. Worth a try.
