Walt’s is as advertised when it comes to fresh seafood. The grouper, scallops, and shrimp were prepared to perfection. They’re not overly seasoned, so you taste the quality. My wife isn’t a seafood eater, so she tried the ribeye. It was undercooked and mostly fat. Stick with the seafood here. We sat in the outdoor area and despite a friendly server, she was very busy tending bar and serving, so we often waited on her to come back to the table. Overall, worth every penny for the seafood.
We have been to Walt's many times during prior visits. This time is was just as good as before. Would recommend this place for seafood.
The food is amazing. This is our second year visiting and we will continue. The meals are paired perfect and the staff is friendly and quick. The restaurant is always busy so be prepared for a short wait. Well worth it ❤️
Fun, Key West vibe, good food, great drinks, awesome service. Only downer is corn tortillas. They fall apart half way through the meal.
STOP Looking, you found it. Look at the pics, I travel everywhere and this is the Best Seafood from all around. I found it on our last night, if I would have found it on our first night, we would have eaten here Every Night and would have tried something different each night. These people have Real Chefs and know what the he'll they are doing. Yes it is a little expensive, but you get what you pay for. For 4 people as an appetizer get the calamari, it's huge. Go between 4:30pm & 5pm or 8pm & 8:30pm. Happy eating. ? ? ? ? ? .
We go to Walt's about once a month, and know how good it can be and how very busy and crowded. While it is casual, we do expect a certain level of service and food quality (because it is not cheap by any stretch). The main problem with our visit 5/21/22 was the server was very pretty but a total airhead as far as dining out goes. She insisted on taking the appetizer order simultaneous with the entrees, when I asked her to put it in first. Then about 15 min later, the runners brought out the main dishes. I said hey we ordered an appetizer! Response: Oh. It came shortly after along with a dinner salad. I was going to say, cancel the app because we have our food, but no chance to say so. Then this girl from Chile (on her name badge) marched over and picked up our half empty beers to take them away. I had to ask her to put them back on the table till we finished them. She (this is our orignal server) acted very confused. She put them back. I asked, how lng have you been a food server? Three years, she says. Well, you should know better than to take away someone's half finished drink. More confusion. Esp since we ordered more beer. To add insult to injury, about one hour, 10 min after leaving Walt's, severe indigestion, sharp abdominal pains. Thankfully they were not severe for long but come on Walts!!! You can do better than this I hope. And we did like our fish. Sides are nothing to go out of your way for.
Service was slow. The corn had no taste. The salmon was delicious. The vegetables did not have any flavor. We were seated immediately because we came in at 4:30 in the afternoon. The piña colada‘s were average. The coconut shrimp we’re good and the rice was good.
