Thoroughly enjoyed lunch at this Japanese restaurant during our latest visit to the Sarasota area. A nice variety of choices for the bento box special including for the main entree (I chose sashimi mix that melted in my mouth). Good service, excellent food, and value. Great find!

As a vegan I am always looking out for vegan options! This place definitely has options. However, please beware! Not everything on the vegan menu is vegan. They use the same friers for their "vegan" tempura items as they do for their animal products. Also, staff members informed me that the ginger sauce is not vegan. That being such a bummer they do have some other options that don't have fried items. Just be aware and ask questions. The atmosphere and staff are great, and the options that are truly vegan are really good!

Served two glasses warm water w /o ice sushi cane before appetizer. Appetizer was room temp which meant it had been sitting getting cold second entree never came and dessert was a lump of deep fried dough squirted w chocolate sauce absolutly gross 12 dollar flop. Sushi was fresh nice dining room pleasing violyn young staff homeless encampment outside scary walk to vehicle

VEGAN MENU OPTIONS!!I have nothing to complain about. Quick seating in a beautiful location that is perfect for date night but also very welcoming to families. The service was all around pleasant and while I do not remember my waitresses name, she was very kind and genuine. The food was timely and delicious! I ordered from the vegan menu and they had a beautiful assortment of vegan sushi. What I appreciated about their options was that they were so similar to regular sushi rolls, which I do miss as a vegan. But truly..give this place a try!

My boyfriend and I order from here almost weekly and it’s usually a 5 star review from us. But tonight we were pretty upset by our order. My boyfriend ordered the salmon love roll per usual and three rolls seemed off to him. We looked inside and found shrimp tempura in one -which shouldn’t be in the roll at all and the other two only had avocado inside and tempura flakes - also shouldn’t be in the roll (pictured). The Kani salad that we always get and truly sold us on this place also was realllly watery tonight. Hopefully this was a fluke because we were pretty excited about getting a closer location to where we live in LWR but if this is new norm it’ll be true let down.

I took a work group to Tsunami Sushi and they did not let us down!! We had a few appetizers and the favorite was the Lava Stone steaks!! They bring a stone that’s about 4,000,000 degrees to your table and you cook little filet slices on it. It was so good we ordered 2 extras!! We also orders calamari and everyone at the table said it was the best they have ever had!! It was tender, not chewy and dipping sauce had just a little heat! Then we ordered a few rolls and some sashimi for the table to share. My favorite roll has seaweed salad on top (I can’t remember the name). All was so good!!! The only let down was the white tuna sashimi. It was a little firm and bland and I’m used to it being mush more tender and flavorful. Otherwise, a flawless dinner. I highly recommend Tsunami!!!

Very interesting fusion Asian food. Very close to the Opera House. Moderate pricing and good service. Seafood stir fry was very good.

We had a delicious meal there. The restaurant is near the Opera House making it very convenient. My wife and I shared a shrimp dish and stir fried seafood. Both dishes were very good. The restaurant was very cold.

Omg! What amazing food. I’ve never enjoyed my food so much at a restaurant! From the soup to dessert, it was all top notch! I ordered the TNT rolls, cucumber rolls and my bf had the hibachi steak. It was my bf’s birthday but I didn’t get a chance to tell the waiter privately, I looked up a birthday cake picture on google and when my bf wasn’t looking I put my phone up and the waiter understood me! So when dessert came out, they sang to him and had a candle. The fried cheesecake was to die for!! 100% recommend!!

Not bad but not all that, was s disappointed with the reviews, it is definitely not what the reviews show, I had sushi and sashimi, my friends had pine apple chicken and filet mignon! We were all ok with the food but we expected more! Overall service was good!
