Nice brunch place. We were surprised to be seated right away with no wait. Orange juice is freshly squeezed from a cool machine. I was a little surprised that the skillet entree didn’t actual come in a skillet.
They handled 20 of us quite well and excellent flow. Food was great. Look out, pancakes are bigger than the plate(lol). Nice art local artwork on walls. My Daughter s and 2nd time. We are from out of town.
Service was great and the place was super clean- food was pretty flavorless. I got the Huevos Rancheros and my girlfriend got Crab Eggs Benedict. Both were under seasoned and nearly flavorless. Would not recommend unless their non-egg dishes are significantly better, but I wouldn't hold out hope because eggs are their namesake. You would get better food at a Waffle House. Our waitress was genuinely excellent though.
Unfortunately the Original Egg was awful. We were a large group and put two tables together. Well the owner went off on us. She came out and berated us, “I own that table and that table and that chair and that chair and that chair…!!!” To say we were shocked is an understatement. We then waited for our waitress to come take our order but she never showed up; presumably because the owner told her not to serve the table or 11 or 12! The waitress was very nice and had no part of the altercation. Well we paid $25 for our 7 soft drinks ($2.89 each) and left. I am always willing to cut people some slack but this lady is too much.
I am a member of a local cycling club that has stopped by this restaurant every Monday for lunch after our ride at exactly the same time for years. We eat outside, as after our ride of 30 to 37 miles, our hygiene leaves room for improvement. The recent owner has always been less than friendly, unlike the wait staff, but today was over the top. There were 14 of us and the single long table would not fit us all. The couple who just arrived at the table next door kindly offered to move to one of the other empty tables outside and did so. Our drink orders were taken and just delivered when the owner came out and screamed at us that she owned the restaurant, the tables, the chairs, and the ground that we were sitting on and that we were nothing but problems and strongly invited us not to return. Now we are a group of 65+ year olds who ride 3 days a week and eat lunch at two to three other places with no problems. The owner was loud, rude and threatening. Needless to say, we paid for our drinks, left a tip for the waitstaff, and ate somewhere else. We will never return.
Went for breakfast and it was a very nice place. Had an omelette which was very good and cooked almost perfectly. The fresh squeezed orange juice is absolutely terrific. Will go back again.
Magnificent breakfast with excellent service! The orange juice is FRESH-SQUEEZED! My food was delicious and the presentation of all dishes coming out of the kitchen looked absolutely delicious! One warning . . . The pancakes are HUGE!
The food was good and Hope was a great server. Her attitude was very inviting. My eggs were cooked just right on top of my cornbeef hash. I will diffently go back.
Excellent service, large variety on menu and huge pancakes. Couldn’t give the 5th star because food didn’t come out as hot as expected. We had just beat the Sunday morning crowd and was seated instantly. 10 minutes later and there was a wait list. If you’re a big portion kinda person other than the pancakes you might be disappointed, but reasonably priced for the portion served.
Delicious breakfast! We had skillets and a pancake. The pancake was perfect. The skillets were both great. What was really good were the cheesy hash browns on the bottom of the skillet, yum.Good coffee and great service even though it was packed.
