We came here with high hopes after many glowing reviews but did leave disappointed. While the atmosphere is fun, the price was high as we averaged about $8 per person. The sorbet was not very flavorful and the store was out of vanilla soft serve. Also, they claim to have Reece’s PB Cups but they were indeed just mini imitation candy (the folks in Hersey, PA would be appalled) our other desserts were average in taste. On a positive note, the Churro Sandwich was delicious and worth the price. With so many dessert spots in the area, we will definitely try one of the many other options next time.
The Best Ice cream shop in Sarasota! It's a great ice cream shop! Best Employees! It's a great place to visit!
This place looked promising based on reviews. Once inside you’ll just find four teens having the time of their lives busting each other’s 8alls and really have no urgency to serve the 25 customers waiting to order and the other 25 standing in the front of the store waiting after they ordered. My favorite is the one worker who is in charge of making milkshakes that pours himself the overflow and then takes a moment to enjoy his creation (he did it three times). The one young lady told another worker not to make her talk to the customers. She rather flirt with the other workers instead. After an hour in there being epically patient she just reached my cone out to grab with no eye contact and immediately turned and walked off. You’re welcome! The ice cream wasn’t bad, just not worth the $hit show I watched for an hour.
The ice cream itself was great, it was everything else that was less than stellar.First off, they were out of the menu items we wanted. Several of them. We’d order, a few minutes later they let us know they were out, and suggested another item, and we accepted. A few minutes later, they let us know they were out of the second option. Eventually we found something that was in stock.Second, the wait after ordering was not insignificant. (See all of the above).Third, the shop itself has nothing to absorb sound, so when we were in there the noise was deafening. But finally, after all that, the ice cream was very good, and the portions generous. We ended up with a hot warmed waffle cone ice cream sandwich, and a jar cake turtle brownie with ice cream on top.I’d recommend the place, but be ready for a wait, and to change your order, and take it to go.
What a great place and the hospitality here is fantastic. Worth stopping in and spending money as they are very pro essential workers also.
Friendly service and delicious ice cream! Our favorite place to visit when we are in town!
Cute little ice cream shop in downtown Sarasota. I got a simple twist with a chocolate chip cookie cone, but it really hit the spot. The shop itself didn't have much seating inside, but it's the perfect treat to grab and go as you walk around downtown.
Okay, I have been here 3 times...and I have to pace myself when I go in here. The ice cream is smashing good, and packed full of flavor. I even grabbed a t-shirt this time...
We stopped in about 45 minutes before they closed. We were the only people in the place. The two girls behind the counter didn’t address us for ten minutes as they sat behind the register. Then they said they couldn’t give us soft serve ice cream or make a milkshake and when we asked why they said “because it would be hard.”
Only ice cream shop open on Sunday’s in downtown Sarasota and they were jam packed and working super hard. Amazing ice cream the stellar coffee is highly recommended from everyone so I had to try it and was not disappointed in the least. Thank y’all
