I have a mixed review of our experience here. We dined outside, and ordered cocktails, the charcuterie board and we split the pork ragu.The meat on the charcuterie was exceptional, the best we’ve had, and the the pork ragu was fabulous. Where our dining experience failed miserably was with the cocktails, and this is something the restaurant highlights and is the main reason we chose this restaurant.My husband ordered the yakisugi fashion ($20), which was to be smoked and was presented to the table unsmoked and had to be returned, when it was returned the smoke smelled charred and was extremely fleeting, if you blinked you missed it, overall the drink was mediocre. I had ordered the “fizzy ending” and it fizzed right onto the table (I was recording the fill and had to stop because of the mess it started to create, and in the same photo you can see that my husband’s drink is not smoking) and through the slats of the table, making it a sticky mess so beware of your shoes/clothing under the table (I had to place the drink on a plate). The drink was very underwhelming, and for the price ($25) and time it takes for this cocktail I would’ve expected much more. This was relayed to our waiter, but all we got was an apology. I would give that drink a hard pass and take it off the menu, the presentation and drink was awful.The cocktails ruined the dining experience for us, a shame since the food was so good.
Our large-ish group availed itself of a private room. The wait staff was wonderful and the food was delicious.
What a great experience! We were treated very well here by Jessica (she’s the best). The food was top notch, maybe one of the best places in Sarasota. Everything was great, but I have to say that mushroom toast was my favorite. My wife doesn’t even like mushrooms and she liked this toast. I think my wifes favorite was the ragu, which was spectacular. They gained some regular in us tonight, thanks for the great meal.
Hands down my favorite spot downtown to eat and have drinks. The food and drinks are phenomenal (especially the food ?). The service is always great; and the overall atmosphere is wonderful and very relaxed.
Great place! Nice selection of wines, awesome menu and friendly staff. We enjoyed our drinks and charcuterie board. Will return again.
Very disappointed! We had reservations for 8 at 5:00 for the Derby party last night. All started well. Manager introduced us to our waitress Jessica and ordered drinks and appetizers. We wanted to wait until after the race to order dinner. Ordered a second drink around 6:30 and all of a sudden she disappears, drinks have to be ordered at the bar and all of a sudden the manager (???) tells us we have to vacate our table after the race. No dinner! No table! Now we have 8 people on a Saturday night downtown Sarasota with no dinner reservations!! Unbelievable!! Jessica came over and apologized and said she had no idea this was going to happen! There was no communication regarding this at the time we made the reservations with the owner btw or when we were seated. No attempt was made by the manager to help with this and in fact was quite condescending. Terrible customer service and communication!! This place used to be a favorite but not any more! Shame! Shame! Shame! On the management!! Thank goodness Saluté saved he day!
This place is incredible. Fresh ingredients,, tasty dishes, friendly service, and great atmosphere. Doesn’t get better. The mezcal cocktail Naked and Famous was to die for. This is a real gem of a spot!
Had a wonderful brunch, the cocktails were great, and the brunch burger hit the spot. Highly recommend.
All I can say is WOWSA! What a fantastic meal we had last night. We ordered several appetizers, all of which were fantastic. The snapper was phenomenal. This chef is truly amazing. Drinks were outstanding and creative as well. Can’t wait to go back next time we are in town.
