Everything about Siegfried’s was just amazing. The food, the service, the music and the vibe. My husband and I are both Germans living in the US. Siegfried’s Schnitzel was the most delicious I’ve ever had - so thin and crispy. My husband loved the Leberkäs and Apfelstrudel. We came back the next day for a Bratwurst and a very authentic Brotzeit platter (best German bread you can find in the US!).We cannot recommend this restaurant enough - you really can see that the owners had put their heart and soul into everything.I forgot a personal item on the table and Kim immediately contacted us which I really appreciate.Danke & bis bald!!

Excellent Wiener Schnitzel with warm German potato salad, that followed a giant pretzel. Washed down with German beer of course. It turns out that most people make a reservation since it's in what was once a small house. We got there just after they opened at 4:00 and despite not having a reservation were seated at a table with a later reservation time. I'm glad we were able to enjoy this fine meal and hope to go back next time we're in town.

Authentic, delicious German food! Outside dining was pleasant & comfortable. Our server, Rodrigo, was great!…. Friendly & knowledgeable about the food…. Very accommodating. We met owners & they were also very friendly. Chef does fabulous work! Food was so delicious & comforting!! I got takeout for breakfast!!! Best meal on our Sarasota trip!!
This is one of the only places that actually serve German food the way it should be served. Everything this restaurant puts on the table is excellent. Don’t miss the bretzel,Schnitzel and Sauerbraten.I lived in Germany for 11 years and I can honestly say this cozy warm place got it so right. Every dish is so delicious and it reminds me of my time spent their. They have a great selection of cold german beer as well.Staff is super friendly and always makes us feel welcome.Finally a spot in Sarasota where you feel appreciated. This place should be on everyone's bucket list Thank you
A dissapointment. The Restaurant does not feel at all German and the food is only fair. Last night the potatoes were undercooked and everything was under seasoned. The bright spot was the Pretzel (delicious) The wine Les Violets( which sells for $11.00 at the local winestore). You charge $32.00 that is a huge markup and it taste like Vinegar. Our waiter was almost non present. The owners are charming and I do hope the place e succeeds but it needs some TLC.
Oh my Munchen…we were just transplanted back to Deutschland by our dining experience at Siegfried’s German Restaurant in Sarasota. We were blessed to be seated at the gazebo table which was encased with some type of flowering vine. We started with a massive bretzel and spicy mustard and then tha main entrees. I had the pork schnitzel with Jäger sauce and Mrs had the sauerbraten. The sides which included red cabbage, potato dumplings, cucumber salad, potato pancakes and warm brotchen were unbelievable and best of all they had Bitburger on draft! If you’re in the area it’s a MUST VISIT…Prost?
Our fourth visit to this wonderful restaurant and beer garden. This time I had the bratwurst, potatoes and sauerkraut - I also added a side or the best red cabbage I have ever had. The bratwurst is clearly not mass market and the potatoes were great with a crunch bit of crisp fried onions as a counterpoint. My wife just orders Viener Schnitzel as usual. She claims that it's the best veal in Sarasota. Freat food and don't miss the wonderful strudel which we shared for dessert. Nice beer list and acceptable wine choices.
Fun place, ate in the rear garden area. Low key , nice atmosphere, great Vienna schnitzel. Absolutely terrific. German beers on draft. Must get the pretzel as an appetizer it feeds 4 people. Great spot for a fun evening especially when the weather cooperates. Service was fine & friendly. Parking on site. Try it!
