Great place and real authentic German food. Definitely make a reservation a day ahead to save a spot. When we got there all tables were full and there was a line outside. Good beer and food. It is slightly pricey but you can beat the quality of the food which is made on the spot not refrigerated or reheat. Also be prepared for a longer wait time about 30min since the food is made from scratch. Will definitely visit again!!! Jeger schnitzel is what you want.....
Heidi and her crew serve up some of the best German food with fun atmosphere and great joy. Stop in and say Hi to Heidi.
Delicious German Cuisine! We want to dine here every time we're in the area.
Me and my family went here on a Friday night, and let me tell you it was literally the coolest. Anywhere you looked you felt like you were in Germany. The only thing better than the atmosphere was the food and hospitality. I’m a vegetarian and they were so accommodating, giving suggestions and just being awesome. All in all this is the best German restaurant we’ve ever been to. Highly, highly recommend!!
My advice to you: make a reservation! We didn’t, and ended up having to wait a couple hours (wasn’t a big deal for us, since we just walked around the area, but was a 2+ hour wait). Schnitzel was why we waited, and it was great. Lots of different ways you can order it, but I got the classic with lemon. You can even get a pretzel for one of your sides! I would go back, but I’d make a reservation to cut down on the wait.
We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Best brats ever and the curry and mustard sauces are delicious! But even better than the food is the extremely amazing hospitality. My 4 kids were so loved on. Make a reservation and get to this restaurant!!!
The owners of this cute restaurant want to immerse you in German ambience, and they do - the decor, the dress, the music, and the good food. We ate the Weiner Schnitzel, and the Beef Rouladen. They were tender and tasty. The spatzle was good and we especially liked the cucumber salad. As good as the meal was, the highlight was the pear cake dessert. It was the best dessert I’ve had in a long time. I would go back for the dessert.
Great place to catch up on German food. Lovely small restaurant that caters to quality food prepared individually for each patron after they order. Reasonabl pricing for special foods.
We LOVED this spot! Cute, kitschy ambience with excellent service, fun entertainment and good food.Everything we ordered was delicious. I had a special of lamb shank and polenta. Fantastic! Its in the funky Gulf Gate area, and fits right in.Its definitely good for being entertained while dining. Not a good choice for quiet romantic dinner.
We are schnitzel snobs (how is that possible?) and thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. Large tasty portion of pork schnitzel, while partner had the schweinbraten (roast pork) . Spaetzle and red cabbage were perfect accompaniments, but you have other choices. Beers a better option than wine, but both were perfectly satisfactory. Friendly, informal place where all are made welcome. Our tab for 2 was $70, but we felt the food and fun worth it. Musical entertainment only on Sunday, I believe. Give it a try!!!
