I’ll preface by saying I really wanted to like Palermo’s. I went based solely on driving by and then looking up reviews. The pizza is good, not great. The atmosphere makes all the difference in a small local restaurant. I have found several here that are so fun and friendly that allows you to forgive small issues with the food. This was not that. It was dead at dinner time on a weekend. I did notice DoorDash coming for a couple orders but the staff was less than welcoming. They weren’t rude but not friendly either. Just kind of whatever about our presence. It was an average pizza with below average ambiance. The kicker for me was when they threw shade at the restaurant next door by saying their food was better. Really wish the experience was better.
I would leave a negative amount of stars if I could. We ordered 140 dollars worth of pizza and apps and ice cream. When food arrived one of the ice creams was wrong and so was one of the apps. I called and the owners response was I tried to call. Were out. So they just send replacements you don't want. Want a refund of those items? Bring them back and they will refund. Defeats having food delivered. Then the owner proceeds to call me a hillbilly. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. I HOPE THE BUSINESS SHUTS DOWN
The pizza is the best thin crust in Sarasota. Delaney's service was great. The eggplant parmesan is also very tasty. It's a definite yes for lunch or dinner.
We came with the family and had the best pizza ever! Pete made sure to make our pizza the way we wanted. It was perfect! And the ice cream… the best!!!! Thanks Pete!
Wow!!! We had the Cheesesteak Sub and was THE BEST in the area by far!! We also had a Calzone and it was THE BEST I’ve had anywhere. I talked to the owner and he says he uses fresh shaved Ribeye and fresh vegetables, and makes his bread fresh daily! I am a VERY picky eater and my wife is a Chef and I am hard to impress! This is my new go to place for Subs, Calzones, and Pizza!!! Must try it!! I found this place by accident when I went to Gentile Bros next door but they were out of provolone cheese!! Amazing find!! This is an honest review from a surprise visit today. Don’t hesitate! Better than Solorzanos too! Wow…
The BEST Philly cheesesteak I've had in Sarasota or Tampa Bay and the BEST Calzone I've had anywhere... Also the best Pizza in SRQ! This place just knocked out Gentiles and Salorzanos for me!! Amazing!!!

Tried this restaurant for the first time last night. Ordered and paid for a two topping pizza around $22 (pickup). Received a one topping pizza.When paying for my carryout order, the register prompted me to leave a tip. It seems like a lot of restaurants are doing this lately. I don't like this - if you serve me at a table in restaurant or deliver to my house, I will gladly tip. But don't make me decline to tip on something that doesn't deserve a tip in the first place.On your restaurants website - when you go to the contact page and select the phone number, an incorrect number pops up.. The initial display text is correct, but the hyperlink is wrong.

My husband found this pizza shop. It was so good!! We got an XL pizza and sub and ate it all. It’s a small pizza shop but it was fantastic. Delani was our server and she was wonderful helping us. The owner makes his own Italian ice and ice cream too for desert afterwards. Perfect for families.
