Highly recommended for a upscale meal, just off Siesta Key Island, in Gulf Gate at a fraction of the price of comparable restaurants on Island. Truly a unique and delicious restaurant!Opus is one of our newest favorites. The shrimp and grits, steak frites, and lamb shank were all impeccable. Wine prices were very competitively priced with a great selection ($60 for Orin Swift Abstract). Food quality and cool vibe was comparable to the Summer House, but for half the price. We also loved the gentle nod to openness and acceptance with the two private unisex restrooms and the tongue and cheek sign advising employees to wash their hands and if an employee is not available, to please wash your own. Can't wait to be back.
Looking for the trifecta of fine dining? AMBIANCE, DELICIOUS FOOD, GREAT SERVICE? Look no further!! Opus SRQ has it all. We celebrated with dear friends on my birthday, and OH MY, was it the most beautiful experience ever. Thank you to a generous live auction donation at an SRQ charity event of RICHARD CARNEY, we were able to party in style in their fabulous Lounge. I’ve got to give a big shout-out to Jackson! He was excellent, friendly, attentive, and can I say, handsome to boot! He made us feel relaxed, and all we had to do was have fun. THANK YOU JACKSON!! I love great wine, their wine cellar is fantastic and they gave me exclusive access to my favorites. I got thirsty real fast! ?? Guys, you gotta go!!
We had a great Birthday Celebration tonight. Trish, our server was incredibly attentive. My husband had the Pappardelle & I had the the Lamb Shank. Everything was served to Perfection & the portions were most generous. Highly recommend & we will continue to dine there!
If you’ve never experienced a food orgasm, you are guaranteed to have at least one at Opus SRQ, the food was exceptional, the drinks were brilliant and dessert super delicious. Our server Kim was attentive and fun! We WILL be back and highly recommend!
Fantastic food and incredible cocktails. The cocktail I had had diplomatico rum chocolate bitters and a ice cube made from coconut water. Absolutely insanely good. All the food was excellent service was good and I would definitely come back. Had a great time with friends. Had to laugh at the bathroom door. Was able to make reservations which I really appreciated. Recommended by a few of my friends and I will recommend others.
Went this past Tuesday. Trish made everything seem special. My wife had the short rib pappardelle and I had catch of the day, red snapper. Both were excellent choices and thoroughly enjoyed. The Caponata was awesome.
On a sunny Sunday afternoon, my wife and I went to a wonderful new restaurant. Opus is a great found spot we really enjoyed. We had an excellent brunch of flatbread and bloody marys. What a nice spot. Opus is a must-see place to complete a perfect Sarasota day. Eat inside or on the patio. Make it part of your travel memories .
I’ve been to Opus three times now and on each occasion gave high marks to the food, the ambiance and the service. I’ve had the chopped salad, the grilled vegetable sandwich and a piping hot bowl of butternut squash soup. All were delicious, with surprising elements of crunchiness — such as chopped pistachios atop the soup — that were as satisfying as they were unexpected. The decor and table settings feature eye-catching pops of blue that lend casual sophistication to the lovely interior and exterior dining spaces. Whether I was with just one friend or a group, our servers were attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, and responsive. Opus is one of my new favorite places.
LOVED LOVED LOVED OPUS SRQ!! HAD DINNER TONIGHT AND SAT IN THE LOUNGE. COURTNEY, THE BARTENDER, WAS GREAT, OUR DINNERS WERE AWESOME, AND THE ATMOSPHERE WAS VERY INVITING!! CAN’T WAIT TO GO BACK!
Started right at the door upon entry. The host was extremely welcoming and friendly showed us immediately to our table. Provided us with our wine list and menus. Waitress Tracey came over and welcomed us and introduced herself. Very friendly and professional. The pace of the entire evening was spot on. The soup of yellow tomato cream bisque was excellent and the grilled octopus was the best I have ever had anywhere!!! The main course of home made parppardelle and short rib ragu outstanding and the Cioppino was just perfect with plenty of perfectly cooked mussels, red snapper, calamari, shrimp and octopus in a heavenly red broth. No room for desert but that all looked perfect as well. DO NOT MISS THE CHANCE TO DINE HERE! The restaurant is nicely decorated and comfortable. Prices are reasonable and once again the quality of the food and staff is unsurpassed.
