First time today at this location and I am very excited about it being here! This is closer than the other one in Bradenton that we've been going to. If you haven't been you need to try it. Wonderful brisket and corn bread - that's my fav and what I usually have but also tonight tried their brownies and brought home some bread pudding! ?Staff are wonderful and in case you don't know they donate funds regularly. We've been fans for awhile now. Your choice of 6 BBQ sauces.
Yesterday was the first time I visited Mission BBQ. I was impressed with the restaurant's cleanliness, service, and food. I ordered the pulled chicken with two sides: baked beans and green beans. They served the pulled chicken with a piece of corn bread. All of the food was excellent and the portions were plenty. My friends who joined me were also impressed. We will be returning soon.
Smells great when you walk in but that's where it pretty much ends. I ordered the 2 meat sampler...what a mistake. The moist brisket came in a tiny amount about the size of half a tennis ball. The dry Turkey was 3 small slices about the diameter of a tennis ball and pretty thin. I also ordered ribs they were pretty good. The dining room attendant was awesome.
love coming here and seeing the pictures, patches, stickers and memorabilia on the walls. very friendly to veterans, police and first responders. the food is top notch and the staff are the friendliest you will have the pleasure of running in to. definitely worth your time to visit
Today was my first trip to Mission BBQ in Sarasota, and my boyfriend and I loved it!! Not only was the BBQ outstanding with wide array of sauces, the service was exceptional. Roselina and Kirk (who may have been the manager/owner) being stand outs among an already outstanding team. We both had pulled pork sandwiches with the freshest fries I have had in a long time. We shared some creamy coleslaw, without a bite, just the way I prefer it. Mission BBQ is definitely welcome to newcomers. If you haven't been, tell them, and they will walk you through it. Had just finished a nursing clinical in school, and stopped by Mission BBQ! They are the best their, so friendly, quality food, great service, and the best employees! Sophia actually gave me some free cobbler that was amazing, and she made my day! Y’all keep it up, you’re making a difference!
This was our first visit to Mission BBQ. It is located on University Parkway in the same shopping area as Kohls and the Fresh Market. The restaurant was very clean and the staff were very friendly. You order at the counter and they call your name when your food is ready. We just sat down when they called my name. We had pulled pork sandwiches and made it an XL combo for $4, which added a side and a fountain drink. They serve Pepsi products, lemonade and sweet tea. There was a choice of 6 sauces on each table! We found it very tasty and a perfect portion size. We lived in Memphis for 11 years so we are pretty picky about BBQ! Worth a visit!
First off I want to say this place has the best brisket! But the main draw for me is the wonderful treatment I get from their staff. The manager down to everyone there treats me with the utmost courtesy and I love going in to just enjoy the delicious sides and meats. BRAVO!!!! I wish I could give them many more stars!
Mission bbq catered our rehearsal dinner for our wedding and they did a phenomenal job! Our guests are still raving about it! The desert was amazing to! We go to missions for lunch all the time!
I enjoy good food fun food. Great place to go if u have a tastebud for good old southern food and a love for smoky barbecue ribs/ chicken/ cornbread/ bread pudding/ all the great southern . And friendly team to serve you. I had a blast. I think it’s better to eat in.
