Truly one of my wife's to go spots for breakfast or lunch. Usually a wait but worth every minute. Coffee is marginal but coffee. Food is always delicious. Atmosphere is down home away from home. Love it.
Coffee? The way I like it medium strong.I had a sample of sausage gravy ( not anyplace can nail this) I loved it. Potatoes? Above average. The server? Superb! She was on it! Like white on rice ?Overall, a good experience. Staff, great job.From fellow chef.
Millie's has a faithful local following. When my wife and I where in Sarasota, the patrons were obviously locals from nearby communities. I had a chorizo omelet with avocado butter that I still think was the best omelet that I ever had. The service was prompt and friendly.
What a creative, diverse breakfast menu! I can't wait to try everything Millie's serves. Daily specials augment the usual fare for ongoing new delights. I tried their quiche special today... this was a deep-dish delight, amply portioned, and truly the best quiche I have ever had. My husband loved the blintzes wrapped in crepes!Millie's presents with a cheerful, friendly, well-trafficked atmosphere, well worth the wait to be seated. I will return here every time I go to the Sarasota area.
I'd give it three stars for the parking but that doesn't affect the five star food. Make the trip.
Only serve breakfast and lunch so check times they are open. Usually a line to get in but it moves quickly. Cold inside consider bringing a light jacket. Prices are fair, portions are big and food is delicious. Favorite thing on menu is German Apple pancake with nuts - unique and delicious. Not fancy place but good ambiance and clean inside. Good service each time we have gone.
This is the best breakfast restaurant I’ve been to, in a very long time. I travel constantly for business trips and eat out almost daily. Food, and Service here is outstanding. I ate here 2 days in a row. I will definitely be back.
A co-worker recommended this restaurant because it’s his favorite breakfast spot to visit when he’s in town. We arrived very early, right when they opened. I’m glad we did because the place began to fill up very fast on a Sunday morning. The food was delicious and portions were very generous, even the kids meal was very large! Flossie was our waitress, she was just THE SWEETEST person, my 5 year old daughter wanted to have a full conversation with Flossie and she was so patient even though she was very busy! Flossie kept our drinks filled and made sure there wasn’t anything we needed. The restaurant has a cute cottage decor with antiques. We would recommend Millie’s to anyone visiting the area.
