Finally had an opportunity to stop in.It was lunch and I was alone without the wherewithal to take leftovers so pizza was out. So I ordered a sandwich and, for one dollar extra, got the tots instead of a bag of chips. A mere dozen tots, deep-fried instead of baked, is most definitely not worth the added charge or calories.The sandwich was very tasty, if a bit smaller than expected.The wait staff was almost overly attentive, stopping or passing by 5 times in 30 minutes. Just wanted to eat my lunch.The decor, with the signage on the table and at entry, gave off an unexpected sports bar feel albeit one with better food promised.I look forward to trying the pizza at some point in the future but will need to be in the correct frame of mind first. And I'll not be alone. Update to follow.
First time here. Atmosphere were cool and bright. Wish the drinks were stronger. The Thai dye and great white pie was so good. The small were big enough to finish alone with no appetizers. The spinach and artichoke dip was so rich and cheesy. The bread alone was even good.
We had called Mellow Mushroom to inquire about hosting a large family gathering with family from all over the county - and the manager and staff went above and beyond hosting us in their beautiful patio room for lunch. Wonderful service, the food was excellent, our server was attentive and smiling…..we felt so well taken care of and so thankful!!! I couldn’t recommend enough…thank you so much!! Will definitely visit again when in Sarasota ????
Pizza was very nice , a little better then I thought it would be . Fresh mushrooms were used not the ones out of the #10 can . Thin crust well baked and just the right amount of cheese and sauce . Service was good and our server Lauren was very friendly . Not the best pizza in the area but pizza is one of those things were everybody has a different favorite .
We only ordered our drinks and never got the chance to order lunch because where we sat I watched the girl in the kitchen pull two pizzas out of the oven and cut them and and lick her ungloved fingers each time. Needless to say I was appalled and we got up and left. Will be calling the health department.
Early dinner. Fast and fresh. Delicious pizzas. Had the house, veggie and shiitake. All fabulous but everyone was trying to grab the shiitake. We also enjoyed the peach tea and strawberry lemonade. Loved it.
We love Mellow Mushroom. Our favorite Sarasota restaurant! The kids always have a great time here and the food is fresh and delicious. We enjoy it so much that we decided to place a catering order for an event. Karen was so helpful and kind and everything was perfect with the large order. Such a fun vibe to this place, and it’s rare these days to have such wonderful service. Thank you for the catering - everyone was so excited to have Mellow Mushroom at their workplace!
Great pizza joint, lots of delicious selections and a wonderful choice of beers on tap.
We had some of the best flavor combination of pizza I have in a long time… and maybe ever! The Maui wowie was simply delicious! The chicken was tender and the jerk seasoning was perfect, and the applewood bacon was cooked perfectly and you could actually taste the apple because it wasn’t burnt. It was a perfect balance of all the ingredients and I will dream of that pizza for a long time!
Ordered a large , the bottom of the pizza was burnt, tasted burnt and tore up the roof of my mouth. I would have sent it back except we waited 40 minutes after sitting down to receive our pizza. Waiter apologized for the long wait and said there were many “to go” orders in front of ours. I will not be back.
