Great German bakery and coffee shop Family run and friendly service. Wide variety of bakery goods. Some are sweet, some are breakfast items. Never seen a better variety anywhere. Great coffe. My wife and I stop by 3 or 4 times a week.. also has great German lunches. Mama G is treasure herself
A cozy little German bakery that handmades their product daily. Really love the Melaleuca style bread. Crispy in the outside and soft on the inside. Everything here is good. Too bad someone reserve the last German apple pie. And a friendly reminder don't eat fast although it's delicious because most of their goodies are pretty flaky. So there's a chance the flakes go down the wrong pipe if you know what I mean.
Ok, I love this bakery soon much!! I'm leaving Sarasota soon, and my last day in Sarasota will be like having a wonderful breakfast in this German bakery and having a chai latte. Chai latte is so lovely!! And I love all different kinds of pastries! Never taste one is terrible. And if you come here earlier, like 6 am, you will see some pilots sometimes, haha. Some of them are pretty sweet. I like the savory one more, just my taste. If you study in the new college, it's a walkable distance so not that bad. And I have so many good memories with my friends and classmates here in this bakery. I wish when I go back to Taiwan, I could find a decent German bakery, too I’m going to miss mama gs sooo much
Wow was all I could say when I walked in the door. The smell alone is amazing. Everything is fresh and homemade. Absolutely delicious melt in your mouth danishes. Bagels homemade (coming from NYC that’s a HUGE compliment). Service was top notch. Coffee selection was perfect. Highly recommend!
Was visiting sarasota recently and found this gem, once we found this place we went here everyday for the entirety of our vacation. Everything we ordered was great from coffee/lattes, cheese/apple strudels to their egg scrambles and lunch/dinner items like jagerschnitzel. My only regret is that i did not find this place sooner when i was a resident of the area.
Thank you Mama G for refueling our bachelorette party every morning of our trip! From the freshest pastries and bread to coffee selection and healthy smoothies, this was our go to place.
Y’all, just go! We found this place by accident while in town for a wedding and went back twice! We found out about the giant pretzels the day before we left and Mama G was sweet enough to make sure they were ready before we headed to the airport the next morning. So delicious and worth it! 10/10 would fly from Kansas back to Florida just for this place!
The bread is very fresh and good. The pastries and cookies are yummy. All the staff is friendly and willing to help. Prices are reasonable. Hey, there is no reason not to go to Mama G's again and again and again............
How delightful and refreshing to have food that is made with love. It was such a delicious and every bite left you wanting more. I absolutely loved coming here! My husband and I were vacationing in Florida and were staying at a hotel that didn’t have a good breakfast. We came by here twice during our stay because of how good it was!I loved all the pastry’s! I would recommend the spinach ricotta and the apricot puff pastry!The people working here were so friendly and great to chat to! Great service and delicious food!
