We were driving around and stumbled on this gem! My son and I loved this place! Definitely recommend to everyone who loves a good sandwich. a must visit!
The restaurant is has a 50's look and feel, a full sandwich menu and soup specials daily. Sandwiches are small but taste great and service is very quick. For a simple reasonably priced lunch this is a great choice for downtown.
A family run small shop with a big sandwich menu, fair prices for a downtown restaurant and QUALITY food. The server was especially helpful, we met the chef ( cool) and other family members. Corned beef was very filling, beer on tap ( Amber Bock my favorite) and overall I don’t know why it took us so long to try it. Parking can be a hassle downtown but find a way to visit this diamond. They’re in business for decades for a reason. Enjoy!
Thethethe Aztec is the best sandwich in all of sarasota! Rare roast beef on a poppy seed bun with shredded lettuce and the most delicious jalapeno sauce on top and cheese. You cannot beat this

This is a Sarasota classic. If you want to see great people watching and enjoy a good sandwich, eat in. Don’t be in a rush though. Two sandwiches took almost 25 minutes to prepare.However, the staff are super friendly and were obviously slammed. Be patient, it’ll pay off.
When I was 15 years old it was the 1st time I entered Main Street bar as a musician. Back in 1973 a guy named George owned it later on bought camel's den. My father would drive me there I played one set I got paid $10 and a sandwich. There were 4 of us who played each guy played a set. 1973. great memories still a great place I keep me in to go there
Still a favorite for the best Italian sandwich. Though owners have changed a few times over the years, the menu and offerings have remained consistent.
This sandwich shop is everything you want in an old school down right delicious sandwich shop. Decor from the 60’s/70’s. Images from the previous owner during their circus life. The service is quick, friendly, and inexpensive. Highly recommend for a quick bite to eat.
