La Mucca Ballerina is one of our favorites and our dinner last night did not disappoint . My wife had the lobster risotto and I had the seafood stew and both the meal and service were exceptional.
First you need to know I have high expectations for Italian as I grew up in an old school Italian family. The pasta carbonara was ok not great. The pasta was a bit too thick and chewy. I like al dente but the pasta itself was just ok. Small egg shell in the dish too and the bacon/pancetta was way undercooked. Portion was very small too. The veal saltimbocca was delish but two small veal pieces for 28 was underwhelming. The lasagna was very good too.
Makes me feel like Iâm back in Italy. Fresh pasta and great pizza!
The family who owns and runs the restaurant do a tremendous job in getting to know their customers. I love their marinara pizza and it's one of the few places that when I order it without cheese, is generous with their sauce. Bravo!
Everything is wonderful. We seem to be coming here once a week.

We were visiting our Sarasota home and decided to give this restaurant a shot. The server was absolutely rude and kept rolling her eyes at us every time we asked for anything. I typically do not write reviews but I was so annoyed by the way we were treated. Being kind is FREE people! Shame on you for treating your guests this way. FYI the guy clearing the tables was super nice ! Way to go!
