So much deliciousness in every bite. The fudge has always been one of my favorites. You will find plenty of Kilwins in the touristy areas throughout Florida. This location is very clean and well maintained.
While vacationing in Sarasota in the St Arnands district, we were fortunate to locate a Kilwin's! They seem to always be located in touristy areas where parking is hard to find. That's not their fault that they are so popular! Just letting you know. We are diehard fans of Kilwin's so it's worth the hassle. My favorite of theirs is their fudge! Unbelievably delicious. Smooth. Silky. Melts in your mouth. Many different flavors. Smells like real chocolate. If you buy two slices, the third slice is complimentary. This shop is beautifully decorated and clean. They have a variety of sweet delicious desserts. Their ice cream is also out of this world. Little kids love this place. They also give out free samples.Parking is on the street and hard to find. But it was definitely worth it.

I came here like so many because I was thinking about getting ice cream at Big Olaf's and then saw the "cash only" sign on the door at that establishment, so given the difficulty of finding an ATM in the dark, I walked across the street to the ice cream place that does commerce in the 21st Century. Because it takes plastic, Kilwin's will at the busy times have a line out the door and it's warm inside as they're always melting some confection or another. The line will take you past Kilwin's rows and rows of chocolates, fudges, and other sweets, all of which are quite competently made but, let's be honest, 9 times out of 10 you're not here for a pecan-coated, caramel-dipped rice krispie treat. It's over 70 degrees outside in Florida humidity. You're not eating that. You're getting ice cream. And the ice cream is fine. The flavors I had were a little gummy, not creamy enough, but they were otherwise tasty and the waffle cone was delicious. Plus, obviously, if you're living a mostly cashless existence, you can shop here.
In the evening this place is lined up, but is worth the wait. A nice selection of yogurts, ice cream, fudge, brittle and candy. The aroma is wonderful and the taste even better. Our favorites are Mint Chocolate Chip and Cashew Brittle.
I stopped here to satisfy my sweet tooth. Hard to decide between ice cream and chocolate but I chose a few chocolates. I have been to Kilwin’s in Michigan and other places and they are great. I got a milk chocolate cashew truffle, some toffee bars, a cashew cluster and a “crab claw”- basket with caramel and chocolate. All were fabulous. The server was ver nice
We visited Kilwins on 12/21/21 in the eveningWe had 2 families with us and even though we were in separate places of the store, we all agreed that it was the rudest women working behind the ice cream counter and fudge area. Not sure what their issues were but we experienced nothing but bitter and angry attitudes. The older lady was the worst. She was snapping at all the customers.
What a great place to stop on a warm afternoon. Awesome for the family and kids especially. They like to watch the fudge being made in house. Lots of treats to choose from and a short walk to Lido beach for a nice sunset too
The best icecream I've ever tasted.
It was great. One of the best ones I've had thus far.
