This little hole in the wall is delicious, everything is really fresh and so many varieties to try. My opinion of the taco shell is that it could be a tad bit softer the outside is a little too hard but honestly everything was really fresh and very flavorful!!! The elote was great I can tell they put a little chipotle in the sauce and they did not gip on toppings. We had a few different tacos Birria was awesome, the Florida mad was good but I couldn’t taste the dill and it was only a tiny piece of gator, so there’s some minor things but for the most part this place is janky lol I dig it and I can’t wait to come back and try more good stuff!! Keep up the good work guys!!
Great Mexican food! Also a nice place to hang out for a few minutes while your take-out/lunch/dinner is prepared.
Awful experience. I was so excited to see a varied menu, but was extremely disappointed with the food I received when I got home. I should have known as the bag felt so light, there was barely any food in it. The worst fish tacos I've ever had! If you add up all three, maybe it would equal one. It was just a bite of tasteless fish with a string of onion and some dry cabbage, no sauce or anything else! Pathetic looking tacos. When I called to talk to the manager, she first apologized and said the chef was new and was making mistakes. This was in the first week of April. She asked for my detailed receipt information and said they would refund it right away. A couple of months later, I found out they never did. Now they tell me to come in and they'll make it again, as if I'll trust their food at this point after being lied to! If you want good tacos, go to the place in Gulf Gate.
This is not a place for a dining experience, but if you want authentic amazing Mexican food, stop and make your order. With over 14 million views of my posts, I tell it like it is. Island house it's small inside. But the ingredients are fresh and you will get your food fast.If there's a wait its worth it!
Been here on 3 separate occasions in the last month. Love the tacos here. Really nice selection, my favorite being the Al pastor. Friendly service, nice vibe to the place, and really nice authentic tacos. Taco Tuesdays are an awesome deal too! Highly recommend
Amazing tacos!! There is a lot of variety and so many good things to try. Not your typical Mexican food but it's even better. Pics are coming some when I go back
Tacos was kinda pricey and wasn’t that big. Came during a rush and tacos seemed a little hard around the edges. The picante was very hot but didn’t linger. Consume was very good. Birria tacos was pretty damn good as well. Came late in the day so didn’t get the pastor fresh off the trompo. Place is kinda small out door area available. Was pretty good Deff not disappointed but still don’t know if this is a go to, not trying the other places in the area.I gave it four stars because it’s a three star place but since they do things somewhat traditional makes that even better. Top it off, I didn’t even they had elotes.
Authentic Mexican street tacos with a twist! I was surprised when i came in and devoured some delicious authentic hybrid tacos with corn tortillas and some of the best meat I've ever had. The birria tacos were absolutely to die for. Would recommend to everyone.
First time to this Island House location. Absolutely wonderful from the time we were greeted when we walked in to the food. We had the Pastor and the Batata on the Tostone, both were great. We will come back.
I love this place! Friendly staff and everything is always on point when ordering to go food. While the tacos are amazing, I just tried my new favorite- shrimp quesadilla! Fabulous and fresh.
