We stopped by expecting some quick sushi, but we were very amazed and impressed with the cozy atmosphere, fun and friendly staff, food is very fresh and way beyond the all you can eat quality. I don't leave many reviews bit I have to say this's the MUST stop by sushi restaurant in Sarasota, reasonable prices as well ?
Dad's birthday and it was very good. Service and food was perfect. So many sushi restaurants in town have been skimping recently but not Ichiban... They even brought my Dad a dessert similar to a canoli for free for his birthday. Thanks!!
We love this place! Our favorite sushi spot! We visit here every few months and always delicious and good! Our visit, yesterday, stood out more than the rest however! Our server, Reagan was exceptional! He was very polite and on point! We enjoyed our experience even more! Thanks again for great food and an amazing server!!!!
Maybe this is how you do sushi in Florida but this sushi was terrible. Disgusting cuts of fish all different sizes and way too thin. The fish also should not have a nasty fishy smell. Highly disappointed with this place. Please, for the sake of real sushi, do not go.
Great deals on good sushi. A large menu of choices.
The food was… ok. We did the all u can eat sushi. The Kirin roll was really good but the rest were pretty underwhelming. Dry rice. Luke warm due to there being a tempura chunk in the center. For the cost 50$+ for 2 ppl it wasn’t worth it probably.
wonderful food and service ?
I was in Florida celebrating my birthday and my friend and I came across this place for lunch , and needless to say the food was amazing. We ended up going back the same day for dinner and one more time the next day before we had to leave. The staff was amazing and super friendly ! It’s was by far my favorite place to eat while I was there!
A huge selection of sushi and a lot of food included in the pay one price. Would definitely go back.
I’ve been to several Ichiban restaurants. I remember the all you can eat being fantastic with a lot of choices. This time the selection was underwhelming, so much so I didn’t bother getting the all can eat. Every other Ichiban I’ve ever been to offered appetizers as a selection as well as sashimi. This one only offered rolls full of rice, no tempura, sashimi, or other appetizers. I was pretty upset when I found out that they didn’t offer the things that every other Ichiban I’ve been to offered. They even charge $.50 for every rice ball left on your plate! I decided to get the two roll dinner, which I regretted and realize that eating there was a mistake. I got the eel roll and the dragon roll and I couldn’t determine what was in them because it was all rice with very little protein. As for the service, it was basically nonexistent. It took an hour for my friends to get their hibachi food. The attitude of the server was really dismissive and we had to get another server’s attention just to get an extra glass of water and check on the rest of my son’s dinner. I will never eat at this place ever again. We had to go next-door and buy desserts from the Italian place so we could eat something that tasted good.
