Hands down best sushi in the area! Lobster tempura roll, The Pink Lady and jalapeño yellowtail app are our favorites but really everything on the menu is so good! Also, service is exceptional as the owner takes pride in making sure your experience is top notch. We go there as often as possible so we can try something new and still enjoy our favorites. Great date night restaurant!
Gateway and Superior Avenues are Sarasota‘a little secret. The strip malls on both streets are not prime space, but inside, the stores and restaurants will positively surprise you. Hoshi Sushi on Superior Ave is one of these places. I had lunch there today. The lunch prices were reasonable and the sushi rolls I had met my expectations. I enjoyed speaking with the staff and other customers. I really felt at home
Extremely delicious food for reasonable prices. My fiance and best friend and myself all came here for dinner after a long day after being on the beach, and we were very happy with the service from the staff, the prices of the food, and the quality and taste of the food. We all got sushi rolls, and every ingredient in each roll was fresh, aesthetically appealing, and delicious. I would specifically recommend the broccoli tempura roll after having it for my first time. We would be back sooner if we didn't live out of state.
We had sirloin hibachi and soba noodle soup in konbudshi and gyoza and a special request sushi. All excellent. Hot sake also good! Here on a Saturday night and it's criminally slow for this time of year. Casual dining sushi that tastes like fine dining. 5 stars.

Fantastic local sushi joint. Very affordable quality sushi. I am a local fisherman and make sushi with my own fish and this place is my go-to when I do not feel like rolling at home.
TJ made our dinner so wonderful! All his suggestions were delicious. The seating is intimate and TJ knew the names of most patrons coming in the door. I love restaurants like this. The ginger salad dressing is the best I’ve ever tasted. The yellowtail appetizer is my top pick.

This place was fantastic. This was the best Kani Salad I've had anywhere in Sarasota. The dumpling soup was awesome. The pink lady and outlandish roll (I think it was called) were good. Probably better than most and best of all it has not upset my stomach which tends to get upset very easily at Asian restaurants. This place is recommended and I will be back.
