It's hard to share 'an' experience. Haha. My wife and I have eaten at Geckos at least 200 times (we estimate)over the course of 20 years. It's always been a great experience. They care about the customer. And the food! Dishes we can personally recommend include the chips and boom boom shrimp to get started. I love love love the ribs, fish and chips, meatloaf and burgers. My wife loves their salads and fish. Especially the lightly blackened cod as an option on the power blend salad. You can eat in and enjoy the sports channels (and nice beer selection!) or get take out that is quick and packaged well. If we order take out in the evenings usually Brendan takes the orders and gets them ready. he's always in a great mood and goes overboard to make sure everything is right. It's a fantastic establishment.
Love the menu at this local chain. The hummus platter is great. Their fish sandwich (and platter) is the best around. Excellent mudslides too, if you can get the right bartender they’ll make a frozen one for you. Highly recommend for big parties as the menu offers a little bit of everything.

Loved this place! Definitely will come back! The food was all great and correct (huge plus in a party of 9 guests) and everything tried was delicious! The portions are large and filling, something needed after a long day at the beach! Lived my first visit and will be coming back. ??
Went here for a bite to eat, thinking it was like Ale house. Let me tell you this blows Ale house. Same vibe but way better. Service was extremely better. They're much friendlier, the food was amazing. From their salads to burgers, and fish! Definitely going back when I'm down I'm thos area.
The food as always is amazing so this 1 star has nothing to do with food quality. I would there amazing food 5 stars. The service is where the 1 star comes in. The bartender who my server has a chip on his shoulder and this isn’t the first time I have experienced this with him. It’s very disappointing and my son and I will not return and sit in his section again.
Never been before ! some one said the fish and chips were amazing They we’re right and huge ! Portions too! Enough for two meals excellent coleslaw Oh and the onion rings ! Perfection big crunchy a real onion We shared a plate of them outstanding! Great service too Leftovers
Had a nice visit to this pub. Our food was really good and even though there was a crowd, we weren't pressured to hurry. We were able to relax and enjoy our drinks.
We always come here several times during our annual visit to Sarasota, and have always be very happy. But the chicken salad wrap always had a smooth filling of finely minced chicken and mayonnaise, like tuna salad. This time the chicken was in solid chunks embedded in mayonnaise, resulting in a mouth feel mainly of mayonnaise. Note to management: fix that. We'll try again next year. My wife's chicken quesadillas were good, though.
Great lunch. I had the fish tacos and my friend had the Cobb salad. Excellent food, great service and the outdoor seating was just perfect.
