Disappointed. Spent quite a bit on Dover sole which was excellent but crepe Suzette was bad. Waiter could not ignite it and should have given us another or not charged us for that as it was soggy.

Just so good. 5 stars for food, service, atmosphere and wine. Quality food and authentic dishes. We enjoyed our first time so much we went back the second night in a row! The owner was kind enough to find us a table in short notice (it’s a small place)The French onion soup is superb, we had the cheese plate and escargot to start. The first night we had the filet and the grouper- both were great, fresh and well portioned. The second night we had the risotto and the scallops/mussel dish. The scallops were some of the best we’ve ever had. Highly recommend, all around gem!

We had an excellent dinner and service at Figaro Bistro this past Tuesday. Jerome was our server and he was fantastic. The five of us all ordered different items, and by the time we were done eating, we were all so pleased. The ambiance is very nice as well. It's an intimate dining room and every seat was filled, so reservations are suggested. We will definitely be returning. Although I didn't order the seared duck, I did have a taste from one of the other plates and it was so amazing. I'll be ordering that the next time for sure.

If you are looking for AUTHENTIC, AMAZING and DELICIOUS french food with a Paris bistro sidewalk cafe atmosphere, look no further than Figaro Bistro on Hillview in Sarasota Florida.Owned and run by a wonderful french family, David is the chef extraordinaire who makes exceptional food, and Camille is the front of the house, hostess - bartender- greeter that keeps the restaurant feeling like just that - your neighborhood place to eat. She remembers and recognizes you and loves to make you feel at home.Food to make sure you taste...moules & frites (mussels and homemade skinny fries that are so yummy, and cooked with the perfect crispiness; french onion soup with loads of cheese; the black grouper - ooh lala melts like butter in your mouth; the dover sole with capers, to die for; pate; the sea scallops (of course delicious, we're in Florida); the creme brulee for dessert is heavenly. They have an amazing selection of french wines and of course champagne as well. But don't expect liquor...and don't expect to be served italian prosecco or california wine. Cami and David prefer an authentic french experience to accompany their amazing french food.So the atmosphere is warm and inviting. Its small, but Cami runs it with efficiency. Reservations are available - but don't wait to book for a weekend or popular time, as it fills up fast. There is also sidewalk and bar seating. Cami and David have created a slice of France in Sarasota. Although they've just had their one year anniversary, This bistro is sure to be here for years to come, and I can see them expanding because of high demand. Figaro Bistro Sarasota Florida is some of the best French food, and rivals that of great Parisian famous bistros. Its open Tuesday thru Saturday 5 - 9 /9:30. I'm waiting for a brunch/lunch to be added on. When they do - I will be the first in line!!Don't miss this new Best Restaurant in Sarasota!

Absolutely authentic French cuisine plus fantastic wines. Service is 5 stars. Please ensure you get a reservation, small place as it should be. Best French restaurant in town. Enjoy it. Merci

Figaro Bistro is like visiting and enjoying dinner in Paris. The selections are artfully prepared and absolutely delicious. The service is outstanding! Jerome and Camille are really your hosts not simply your servers. They are totally professional and so congenial. You feel like your having dinner with friends. It is a total pleasure to dine at Figaro Bistro. In fact, we have made it our go-to restaurant for dinner each Friday night while on vacation in Sarasota. The best French cuisine in Sarasota!

Having lived in Paris for 3 years, I'm always looking for a good French Restaurant. I'm sorry to say Figaro Bistro is not at all to my expectations. My son was down visiting from NYC, so I decided to make a res at Figaro. Our res was for 8PM and we arrived 5 minutes early. Our table was not ready, though there was an empty table. We were barely greeted and asked to stand at one of the side tables near the entrance, so we waited and were not offered a drink or anything. We are seated and I had them cork the bottle of Bordeaux that I brought since their wine list was lacking in choice and very over-priced ($20 corkage fee).I started with the frois gras terrine, which was dry and a very small portion. My son had the mussels and there was barely any broth at the bottom and no flavor what-so-ever. While we were waiting for our main entrees, we had to ask several time for bread and butter ( very strange for a french restaurant). I had the Beef bourguignon and my son had the casseoulet. The beef bourguinon was very chewy and burnt tasting (very disappointing) and my son's casseoulet was just OK, lacking in the flavor of all the herbs you look forward to when enjoying casseoulet. This place is not worth a second visit, and over-priced for such a small bistro with a limited menu...

Lovely French restaurantConsider to dress up and make it a night outAll dishes were delicious although I was not a huge fan of the crepe Suzette

Fantastic!!! Our first visit there and certainly not the last. Jerome and Camille are wonderful and the good was superb. Elite, as I like to say.

The food, service, ambiance... It is such a pleasure dining at Figaro's, it was like walking into a Paris bistro! Chef David's dishes are delicious. The wine list has a variety of French (no other countries) wines that are wonderful. The service is very attentive, Camille and Jerome were fantastic. Highly recommend treating yourself to a night at Figaro'sWe each had an appetizer, entree, wine and dessert.
