Worst breakfast ever and over priced. Tasteless probably describes it best. I ordered a pork chop, biscuit and gravy, fried potatoes, two eggs. The eggs and pork chop were runny and under cooked, devoid of flavor. The pork chop looked like a thick slice of pork butt, pink inside, rubbery, undercooked and weird taste. The biscuit at best was like bisquick mixed with water dropped and cooked hard, the gravy was cool and tasteless. I spent over $ 20 not including tax and tip.Extremely disappointed! We are from out of town. I’m amazed and confused at the good reviews. The meal looks good, but it was awful. I tried to eat it. I ate about a fourth of it. I ended up with stomach issues soon after.
My husband and I enjoy going to dutch valley. We always sit at the counter do we cam have Linda as our server. She always has a smile, knows what we want to drink. Food is always fresh and perfectly cooked. It is nice to know we can expect te same quality every time.
Great food, great service...
Down home menu. First time here and was looking for more of a Penn Dutch menu but the food was OK. Came to find out the restaurant was owned by a Cuban gentleman, so we opted to try the Cuban Sandwich. Not one to top my list as just OK is the best I can say on it. Service was great once our waitress came to our table, she was very attentive. Another nearby couple said their lunches were good, but their breakfasts were better. Figures. #stevensleavin
Amazing breakfast food!!! Quick and friendly service. Belgium waffles and buttermilk pancakes are delicious. The skilletry breakfast option with eggs and home fries was also delicious! You won’t go wrong with their menu options. We are visiting for a few days and so glad we read the reviews and found this place!!
Would recommend this place any day, it was delicious & plenty food!! Great service & a very friendly waitress, her name is Kitty. And if you mention it’s your first visit you get complimentary rice pudding.
Great food and a great assortment of it. The food was good as was the service. They also routinely decorate for the holidays (Valentine's Day, St. Patrick's Day, July 4th, Xmas, etc.). During tourist and "snow bird" season it can be crowded, but is worth the wait. Good place to take a group because there is so much food variety, there will be something for everyone in your group.
Great Breakfast today, Really Large portions, felt so comfortable and our waitress was always looking out for us. Couldn't have been any better. Wish more restaurants like this were around. Makes you feel like old time Sarasota. Menu is wonderful. I am a Sarasota native and treasure these few places that are still here.
You won't find a more extensive menu in a Sarasota restaurant ang home cooking. Everything we had was excellent. Soups are homemade as well as desserts. Our waitress was beyond great. But make a reservation because it is so good.
Older restaurant that seems like it's been around awhile. We were seated quickly and our drink order was taken immediately and brought out faster than we could even open our menus. Our waitress must have had super powers! The breakfast menu has all the old standards: pancakes, waffles, french toast, biscuits and gravy, omelettes, egg dishes, oatmeal, grits, etc. All very reasonably priced and any combination you can think of having for breakfast. We opted for a skillet scramble and toast, and a pancake stack with eggs, sausage and grits. The meals were at our table in less than 10 minutes and perfectly cooked. Thick fluffy pancakes and perfect eggs. Our coffee was never below half a cup and our water was refilled frequently. The service was impeccable, the food was amazing and the price can not be beat. Dutch Valley Restaurant is my new favorite breakfast place.
