We went today to try the buffet at 630 pm and to be honest I found most of the food to be overcooked and to be honest just plain bad. The breaded cod was hard, the turkey was so overcooked that it was soft. The beef was swimming in about 3 inches of fat. This really was disgusting. In addition with all the baked goods this place makes they gave as a desert a chocolate and vanilla cake that tastes no better than a boxed cake from a supermarket. I was extremely disappointed.
We just made a stop in for a pie but of course came out with more! So many choices and the prices are reasonable. Restaurant is located in the Pinecraft area of Sarasota. Very friendly and helpful staff.
We went to the bakery for morning treats. Great selection of cakes, cupcakes, fudge, donuts and apple fritters. We had an assortment of donuts and one apple fritter (huge) and they were delicious. They even had a cold case with a variety of milk. Very friendly staff too. It’s worth a visit if you want some bakery treats! Ps this is all to go and entrance to bakery is on the side.
Made a quick visit here while visiting in town. This was always a favorite place in past years to come to for their breakfast buffet, while I didn’t come to dine in I can say in years past it’s a great place to come any time of day. Their bakery is full of just about everything homemade you can think of and there are lots of extra treats you can purchase before you check out! Just come earlier then later in the day or you’ll miss out on some of their favorite selling baked goods.
This place is a return to real, minimally-processed food. They had meat, veggies, and salads, and I could tell that everything was whole food with simple ingredients while still being flavorful and tasty. They had seasonal specials that were unique and appetizing. I appreciated that they had some gluten-free friendly options and they were clearly marked on the menu. There was enough free parking around the building, and the restaurant has a bakery and large gift store on the property as well.
There is nothing you can’t get on this buffet! Everything was so fresh and delicious. If your in the area I highly recommend this!
We arrived forty five minutes before the close of the buffet. The sausage was picked over and full of grease. The eggs were in a single glob. The fried mush was all stuck together. The bacon was crispy to the point of falling apart but tasted wonderful. The gravy was way too thick. The orange sections and mixed fruit were the star of the meal. This was just a step better than Golden Coral for a couple of bucks more and way out of the way. This meal used to be much better here?
A very large restaurant with plenty of seating and attentive waiting staff. It is very much a help yourself to eat what you want place at a set price and for that, it cannot be faulted. The food was well cooked and you can have cold food, hot food, side veg and dessert to finish. What's not to like.
All you can eat buffet of Amish cooking. We had breakfast there about 3 X's in the week we stayed there. More choices than you could sample. food was presented well, hot, tasted great. The wait staff etc. were very, very nice. There is also a great gift shop there that you could spend about an hour in
This is just an okay buffet. We are from Amish country in PA so we are used to some outstanding buffet food. This food was good enough for the price but nothing I would go back for.
