Their menu in the restaurant is much larger than what you see online. The tuna hand rolls are great!
Best sushi in Sarasota! We've been to numerous other sushi restaurants in the area and no one comes close to offering the quality of fish that Bushido offers. The quality is consistent any night of the week, be it a Tuesday or Saturday. I have only had yellowtail of such a high caliber in one other sushi restaurant my entire life, it's a must have!
For Heaven’s sake, order the FUJI Salad and the FAST & FURIOUS Sushi roll,I’ve been wanting to try this place for long time and I’m glad I finally did it…Guys, let me tell you, this restaurant has a great atmosphere with nice saxophone music and nice dark but modern design.The staff is outstandingly nice, specially the CHEF who is right at the sushi bar, waiting to have amazing conversation and talk about his restaurant and the secret behind the name “BUSHIDO”.The flavors and the size of the food are big and loud., I was having a party of flavors inside my mouth.Just give it a try, but try not to come in a busy night, so they can give you the attention you deserve.Ohh right!!!, I was just to excited about my sushi and my visit I hope you guys enjoy your sushi dinner too.LoveFátima
Everything from the rich miso soup to the hot appetizers and the excellently crafted sushi rolls was delightful and well presented. The place is small, nicely decorated. Suggest making a reservation if dining in. Decent beer selection (Sapporo, Kirin, Kirin Light, Asahi) and probably more sake options than you'll ever need.
Hands down the best sushi in Sarasota. I’ve looked high and low and Bushido takes the crown easily. Insanely fresh and delicious and the presentation is pretty good to boot. Expensive, but worth every penny. I manage to spend more every time we come but I never regret it. Must try the Otoro and Eel sashimi!
We love this place, and seeing Winnie and ivy. We order to go often. My son loves the banana roll and sweet potatoes roll. I love the Mexican roll minus shrimp and add mango, extra jalapeño. We also like the fried rice with fresh veggies, not frozen.
Rice not cooked well - rolls fell apart- too much sauce on the rolls. And the restaurant smelled a little bit so all in all it was not a pleasant experience
My husband and I were staying on Anna Maria island, however, are willing to drive for good sushi. We were not disappointed. The sushi was fresh and we enjoyed the addition of Japanese vinegar in the preparation of the sushi. We sat at the sushi bar for dinner and the owner/chef, John, was just lovely. I would highly recommend Bushido Sushi SRQ.

I've eaten at EVERY sushi restaurant in Sarasota, being born, raised and lived here 40 years, and this place is hands down theeee best sushi I've ever had. They do something with their rice and it's wonderful! The pieces of fish on the sushi, and sashimi, are top quality and are HUGE! Soooo good! Highly recommend coming here! Very casual atmosphere and great service unlike some other sushi restaurants. Go give it a try.... You won't be disappointed.
