crab cake benedict was amazing and a great selection of oysters. Nicole was a fabulous server!
Stopped here for lunch one day during the week while we were in town. We enjoyed our meal here. I had the Coffee Old Fashioned and the Grilled Pineapple Spicy Margarita to drink. The old fashioned was just OK, but I really liked the Grilled Pineapple Spicy Margarita. Just the right amount of spice for a cocktail. Our table shared the Charred Octopus and a half dozen oysters to start. The oysters were fresh and our table enjoyed the Kumamotos the best. I had the Crab Cake Sandwich as my main and there was a good amount of crab in it and not too much filler. Just what you're looking for in crabcake. The fried chips were also a good accompaniment to the sandwich.
We were a group of 6 and the server handled everything in a friendly and professional manner. The food was delicious, the portions were good, the meals were presented well and the prices were reasonable. No one had a single complaint. The crab cakes had plenty of crab, the smoked heirloom tomato sauce salmon was delicious, as was the snapper. The restaurant itself is light and clean. It was a positive experience and we will return.

Small portions: minuscule oysters and clams, and the seafood sauce tasted like tomato soup. Overpriced ($28) and no better for beef dish with very little beef and barely roasted vegetables. Even outside seating- extremely noisy. Not recommended.
Beautiful atmosphere and interior. Lots of outside seating as well. Our service was perfect! Food was amazing. The charred octopus was the best we have ever had. It was so tender it was like slicing butter. We also loved the calamari and we devoured the snapper as an entree. We also had salads, they are HUGE and tasty. We will be back
Brine is always a solid choice! We are locals and come here often. We love sitting at the bar, talking to the awesome bartenders, and enjoying a delicious meal. We have tried many items on the menu and have never been disappointed. Crab cakes are legit Maryland style and so good … the octopus, ceviche, snapper and fish tacos are 10/10. Phenomenal oyster selection. Love the open air concept (when it’s not too hot out) and beachy but classy vibe.
Brine seems like a whole in the wall place, located in a sleepy Sarasota strip mall but delivers on flavor and service. We had Sunday brunch and had to come back for dinner later in the week because it's so good. It is also conveniently located near one of the top rated beaches in FL, Siesta Key. My 14 year old daughter said that if she were on death row her last meal would be the creamy crab soup. I enjoyed the ceviche, grilled snapper and a perfect bloody mary while my son tasted swordfish and oysters for the first time. The owner was so kind to let us sit in the outside patio with our little pug pup too. Pur waiter was a delight and attended to everything we needed. I will be back on my next trip.
Really fresh oysters! Friendly and open atmosphere, the bar chairs are very comfy and the bartenders are very nice and helpful. The price point is high. Even for appetizers you will end up spending a lot here. It would be helpful since there is a happy hour, if a food happy hour menu was given when seated.
